Tainted Love.

My long weekend was relaxing. We went and visited my wife’s sister’s new farm in the country. It is very rustic, bordering on Texas Chain Saw Massacre rustic. Played a lot of Carcassonne and watched about half a season of Deadwood.

Back to work today. One of our installers uses one of the offices to co-ordinate the work going on in town. He likes to occasionally listen to music on his laptop.  I use music euphemistically because the tiny tinny speakers on his laptop turn everything into a teeth grinding mess. Not to mention actually having to listen to Def Leppard, Haywire and Marilyn Manson doing a cover of Soft Cell’s Tainted Love. I know I shouldn’t judge someone based on their taste in music, but sometimes it is really very hard.

Typographical errors.

  Hey it’s Saturday. You should have better things to do than read my or anyone else’s blog. I would like to point out that someone misspelled Total in Medieval II: Total War. I am just hoping that someone notices. Anyone... Hello..... Somebody throw me a fricken' bone here.

We watched Black Snake Moan this evening. It's a great little southern fried fable with blues and Samuel doing what he does best, preaching the gospel according to him mother fucker. I recommend you don’t take it too literally. It’s a fable, a parable about healing the deep down hurt.

Stuff

More technical difficulties at work today. So to keep busy I am making another blog entry.

Forza 2 has some of the quietest rooms online. Thanks to Vpopps for the invite last night. I am very competitive online in racing and will fight tooth and nail for last place. And what is with those U class cars. It seems that every room I go into is racing these cars. There obviously is a knack for driving them but I haven’t figured it out yet, other than driving really slow. They are great for getting a 360deg view of the tracks though.

It’s almost the long weekend.  Three days of doing nothing. Actually three days of relaxing playing Forza, and Carcassone, maybe a trip to the Village Cantina for breakfast on Sunday. My wife Jennifer who has just finished her Statistics for Business course will be taking full advantage of not having to do anything by sleeping and cleaning the car. For some cleaning the car is a relaxing thing to do.

Blog 1

I am starting my blog today because the system is down at work, and all I can do is access the internet.

I picked up Forza 2 recently and I am enjoying it a lot. I am not usually big on racing sims, but this one has me hooked. I spent some time last night practicing driving rear wheel drive cars. They are harder to drive and I seem to have a lot of them in my garage.

The long weekend is close and I am hoping to sneak out early tomorrow. I managed a liquor store for many years and have forgotten how good long weekends are.

It is pretty hazy and overcast today. I can’t see any mountains.
