You guys are great

I've been playing XBL for 6 months or so, I've seen plenty of irritating, immature, discouraging antics in MM. I put up with it for quite a while before finding out about this website from a gaming magazine.  2old2pwn has been my home clan for a month or two now and I wanted to tell you all what I'm sure you already know. You guys are great, you are what I hoped for when I first went online. Now most of my gaming time is with clan mates or friends  I've meet through 2o2p. ( I can always use more, so keep sending those FR's ) No one gets bent out of shape because they lost. No one is screaming obscenities or fighting over weapons. No one is betraying on purpose, and the custom gametypes are a nice change of pace. I like hearing people talking in the lobby about jobs, home repair, kids, spouses. I'm not much of a talker, I'm pretty quiet in games, (MM and clan night varieties) but it's nice to know that other gamers have lives (and ups and downs) like mine.

To all of you on the 2o2p website, my clan, and everyoneon XBL mature enough to play a game as it was meant to be played...THANK YOU!!!

The life or death gamer

You know that guy, the one who gets insulting when a teammate driver flips the hog he was riding in? The one who insults you when you miss your shot or when you don’t have the same strategy as him in a team game? The guy who talks trash and Tbags every single guy he kills. I know that guy. I know a lot more about him then he knows about himself, now I’m going to tell all of you. His real life is pathetic and empty. He has achieved no life goals and/or feels otherwise inadequate to the rest of humanity. Perhaps because his childhood was really messed up and now he has issues with self esteem and is full of impotent rage. If he is in his mid to late twenties, he has no skills that would make him employable. He has no meaningful, well paying job, and no benefits. He lives at home with his mother (still) He has no steady girlfriend and very few real life friends because he is immature and can no longer relate to people his own age. He has no life and no future, and a part of him knows it. What he does have is a video game; he plays a lot and is probably pretty good. The game is the best thing in his life, the only thing. The game kills time. He has lots of time to kill. Online he has a chance to socialize in a small way and feel a sense of accomplishment and self worth when the team wins…when he wins. When his team doesn’t win he is reminded once again that he is a pathetic loser. If the team loses because you flipped the hog or missed your shot then… IT’S YOUR FAULT HIS LIFE SUCKS. IT’S YOUR FAULT THAT HE IS A LOSER AND NOT ON THE WINNING TEAM, HE DESERVES TO BE ON THE WINNING TEAM!!! Let me see if I’ve got this straight. You have no education or real world skills, no career, no insurance, no retirement, you have no friends, you haven’t touched a woman in years, you live in your parents’ basement, and you play videogames all day everyday. You think I’m garbage, I’m a loser and I should kill myself? I’ll try not to laugh directly into the microphone.

Play Nice or......Surrender Your Thumbs!

Online gaming is still new to me, although I have been playing the single player missions since the day it came out. I enjoy playing BTB skirmish and team swat. For the most part the experience has been really great. However, a few types of players really bother me. I hate sore winners and losers, immature people who insult others and betray on purpose, and little kids who swear more than my Uncle Igor during one of his christmas cake and horse tranquilizer binges. I'm thinking of posting a complete list of the people who should have their thumbs removed for the good of the online community. If they refuse to behave like human beings, then they should forfeit their opposable digits. I'm currently taking suggestions for creative methods of removing the offending thumbs from the offending offenders. It's not that they hurt my feelings or offend my sensabilities ( I can outswear my Uncle Igor, but I don't  use that talent online) It's that they ruin my gaming experience by taking away from the game. I enjoy teamwork, communication, and having a common goal. I don't want to listen to 3 kids screaming at each other and fighting over the sniper rifle, the guy talking trash because someone flipped a warthog, and the jackass who betrays untill he gets booted or quits. I hate being surrounded by morons who can't have fun playing the game the way it was meant to be played. To the majority of the online Halo community who are great people, you can be on my team anyday. I don't care if you aren't that good (I'm not too good either) send me a FR and tell me you read my blog in the message so I don't think you are just another random person who sends everyone FR spam.  I'm on most evenings, my gamertag is Armorsmith76.
