First off this is just a glimpse into my mind…it’s not something people normally get or when they do, it’s not something they like to see. A jumble of thoughts without order, without reason, then sometimes thoughts just click together. Read into it, or don’t.

I consider myself; evil, dark, a cruel unknown,

Not because of what I do but due to what I know.

I see the world in many lights,

But all are fearful; and dark as night.

I hear people speaking lies,

Pushing ideas destined to die.

Now is the time when kindness survives.

I consider myself; merciful, loving, and kind,

Not because of what I think but only what I try.

I see kindness from many guy,

I see them give, help, and cry.

I hear truth from lying eyes,

Greed driving love that never dies.

Now is the time when hypocrites thrive.

I see myself, in truth and lie,

Good and evil from each eye.

Silent voices guide us all,

Tempting and teasing, driving to fall.

Some resist, temptations persist.

Some concede, weakness exists.

Evil thrives, the good is weakest of all

I see the world in many lights,

But all are fearful; and dark as night.
Each a battle none shall survive.

What it means to me doesn't matter, what matters is what it means to the person reading it.....but after I read it over again it does sound like a Moody Blues song intro...

Go live for NXE has a few bugs

I don't know if it was the fact that everyone was downloading it, or if there are just a few bugs in the system yet but I keep getting little pop-up errors, they don't appear to stop anything, you just hit 'A' and go one with what you were doing....is this just me or has anyone else run into this?

Also we were trying to link up our netflix account only to be told every single time that the code we entered was invalid....

Please tell me we arent' the only ones running into this.

Let's play a game.

Yes, let's play a game, no not that kind of game....well, I guess it's a game in a game....or a game of a game in a game.....anyway....

Here is your Timmy Bingo Card. Every time you experience a "TLE" (Timmy Like Event) you mark it down on the card. I'm only presenting this idea as an added game to make it easier to deal with the Timmys and in no way a means for the site to profit from gambling, however is a similar card were to be distribuded among a clan, with everyone throwing in $5 the winner gets $10 or $15 (or whatever)with the remainder being donated to 2o2p, or better yet, they get that ammount donated to 2o2p in their name that would be fantastic. But running a game like that would be against the law in most states, so I'm only presenting this as a fun little side game...how you use it is up to you.

My wife is a game addict�.awesome!!

Yes, I am realizing that my lovely wife has a gaming "gift". She has become completely enthralled by Call of Duty 4 and WaW. She even woke me up early on Sunday so we could jump into a few matches…while this is a dangerous move, “get up, I need you to watch my back on Headquarters, these Timmys won’t cover me while I capture” is actually delightful to wake up to as opposed to “wake up, the cat just puked all over the place”.

But I have noticed something that is hurting us in the game….people yelling out locations of the enemies and we have no clue what they are talking about. This has turned into a fun little game. We are under heavy fire, diving to cover and calling for help it goes something like this….

Me; I’m under heavy fire, get over here!

Wife; I’m coming, where are you?

Me; I don’t know!....Grandma’s house! Grandma’s house!

Wife; Which one’s Grandma’s house?

Me; (laughing)I don’t know!

I did hear one person identify grandma's house to me....they said it is the house tht looks like a grandma's house.....well, to me that just described everything but the barn...and I don't see anything that looks like a suburban Bi-level so it can't be my grandma's house they are thinking of.

It’s getting a bit difficult to yell out locations…since telling someone “I’m near a kind-of bombed out building by a fence” or “I’m in an alley by a car and a dumpster” just doesn’t cut it. So we will have to take some time to learn what these places are called….does anyone have a map with a guide?

But we gave the Hardcore Mode a shot on WaW, it was very fun but we were dominated by a group of Scottish, or Irish….or Australian guys….I couldn’t understand a single thing they said….except the profanities, they came through quite clearly…and constantly…..btw, what’s a “Wally Plunked Bob Sitter”(sp?) and why do I think they were talking about me?

if you can't tell, I have been brain washed after playing Fallout 3 CONSTANTLY since it released, and I can't seem to stop listening to 40's and 50's music....it's time to change the pace...I'm also in the mood for a bit of the Distillers again...that will be some serious culture shock.

one of my many talents...

I know I have many talents, and cooking might actually be the only really useful one. I actually went to culinary school for it for a little bit (that's one of the 7 majors I had in my schooling career). But last night I had a brief moment of inspiration, and thought I should share. While many of my ideas work well, like the Garlic Blue cheese steak sauce, or the sweet glazed cedar plank salmon and some don’t…like the Steak with Raspberry sauce for example…but here is the BBQ sauce that I made for the Lamb chops last night. I’m estimating a bit on the quantities since I rarely measure anything…but remember that BBQ is all about what YOU like, if you don’t like a smoky BBQ, cut back on the Bourbon, if you don’t like garlic, cut it out…BBQ sauce is like stew, no matter what you do to it, as long as you like it, you’re right.

2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

4 Tbsp Bourbon (I use Ridgemont Reserve 1792.)

3 Tbsp Brown sugar

1 ½ cup of Ketchup

a dash of Garlic, Rosemary, Cumin, Salt, Pepper, and Oregano.

Apply to meat, or to use as a dipping sauce, add 3 Tbsp of water and stir continuously over med, heat until it darkens slightly in color.

As I said I used this on lamb chops, they were cooked in Pyrex that was placed over a cookie sheet to prevent direct heat. Just keep brushing the sauce on, every 15-20 min flip it and brush on a little more.

I cooked this at 275 for 1 hour and a half….I probably should have cut the temp down to 250 and let it go for 2.5 hours. But I’ll let that up to your time constraints and devotion to your BBQ.

The Racist lives on Xbox life

In COD: World at War last night, I ran into a Timmy, while he sounded like he was 30, he was definitely a Timmy, his tag (though I can't remember it exactly I will be finding it tonight and giving MAJOR bad feedback) was something like WhiteManKKK...how did that one make it through the XBL content filters? But all this guy did was talk about how someone should kill Obama, and then McCain would be president again. (I know that there is TONS wrong with that statement, both ethically, and Procedurally, but I'm not going to get into that…it would be several pages long) What surprised me was the way the people in the room responded….simply put, they didn’t…there was one person, obviously African American from his Gamer tag(Da_afroninja or something like that) gave protest and asked all to give him bad feedback, and file complaints (which I will be doing) he presented himself very well, was very well spoken and gave some fantastic rebuttals, but beyond that, there was not complaint, no one calling him a bigot, nothing. I muted him and tried to give encouragement to the one standing up against him. But there was a major line crossed and most stood by and did nothing. Was it simply something that was bred into me that that word that he used twice every sentence that started with an N, and ended with “I’m an uneducated hick” cuts through me like a knife of ignorance every time I hear it. But that was the way I was raised, there are ton’s of profanities out there, and all are used too much in ways that don’t contribute to the events at hand. (unless those events involve a hammer and your thumb) But what ever happened to the creative insult? The witty comeback? The heated debate? All have been replaced by some dick with a microphone and an XBL account who WON’T SHUT UP. There’s a time and place to make yourself heard on the issues you feel you need to address…let’s just keep that crap out of our XBL experience.

In the end I Give COD:WaW a big thumbs up for the campaign and the multiplayer. (the campaign was a bit short, but I think that may have been because we were playing on the Regular mode in Co-op.) I’d get into more detail but everything I’d have to say could be said about COD4, but I would like to stress that just because the games are similar and use the same engine doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing.

Halo 3 issues...

Just recently I have started to question Halo3 MM, after a clan night that consisted of us, operating as a team, well coordinated, and all relatively decent players, were COMPLETELY SMASHED by an opposition of timmys who were chaotic, unskilled and cheap beyond anything I have ever seen. We had 2 people guarding the flag, and made a rush for theirs, they had all of their team make a massive rush for our flag spamming us with grenades and Spartan laser fire.

We lost 3-1, because one of us managed to sneak over and steal their flag while they were trying to get ours…(later matches all ended 3-0 from their same cheap tactics) But one thing I noticed was that these people had such a set routine, always taking the same path, always blindly throwing a grenade from the same spot behind cover, always landing it right on the flag…is there any point to playing a game if you repeat the same exact thing over and over again?

I bet if I could have gotten my hands on some mines I could have had a 20+ kill streak just planting them on that same path these little snots always took. But they also had a very cheap style of camping for those who were not on the rush. They would take one of their own vehicles, and severely damage it, and park it in the middle of nowhere…then camp with a rocket launcher or Spartan laser from a distance, wait till someone jumped in it and BOOM, 1 kill. I understand the strategic strengths and weaknesses to camping, but to go to this length to score a single kill in a match where the deaths/kills were easily 20-30 per person, it was a waste. And these people were maxed out on experience so it’s not like they needed the boost.

Anyway, I did give the COD WaW beta a shot…and personally, I LOVE it. it feels a bit more dirty, bloody, I feel like I’m in the action a bit more than I felt from COD4. Now that’s not saying I didn’t like 4, or that I won’t continue to play it online, but World at War has that “in the action” feel that I loved from COD 2 and 3 (not as much from 3). I can’t wait for this campaign….and for the return of my favorite weapon, the Bren LMG.

Fallout 3 done.

Well, we did it. We beat the main quest for fallout...no spoilers here...sorry I'm not gonna do it. But trust me that it does not dissappoint.....

I have a feeling this day will get worse

I’m quite surprised that there are only 4 people on my friends list who are currently playing Gears of War 2…one of whom is already in act 3 chapter 2. Now, I know I have no room to talk since we will be doing this with COD;WaW….but I REALLY want to get home and continue with Fallout 3….since I just found Harold and Bob….Fan boys of the series know who I mean…

Anyway, I’m trying (unsuccessfully) to do a bit of graphics stuff for the clan…I use to be pretty good with Auto-CAD, but I don’t exactly have that…I have the Microsoft Paint that came installed on my PC…..and I SERIOUSLY suck with this…

Lets see�.

I have a feeling that this blog will be in the -20 range…

I will not be getting Gears of War 2, I wasn’t very big on Gears 1, and felt that the learning curve I would have had to overcome would have taken lots of time that is better spent in COD4, leveling up, getting ready for COD World at War, and blasting Super mutants in Fallout 3.

…hmm, that was a really short blog. I don’t normally leave them that short and to the point, but I have nothing else to say…

This will be a fun day.

I’m feeling depressed….gee, I wonder why…

Well, this is the 5th re write of this blog…I’m starting to think I will never finish one for today. I was going to go into how depressed I am, but screw that. I’m sure no one here cares about it anyway. I’ve been listening to some old school rockabilly all day so far, so, here is my plan for the rest of today, finish up work…duh…on the way home, pick up a milkshake, grill some chicken, maybe stuff it with some bacon and a bit of aged gruyere and a pinch of Italian parsley (oh, that would be nice…), then get ready for COD4 night with 2old4timmy. And if that doesn’t work…since I’m running out of Johnny Walker Black… that bottle of JW Gold Label is so tempting…not to get drunk(though that would work too)…but nothing cheers me up like a bit of really good scotch and some Timmy bashing.

Like a ghost town�

It’s odd working in an office where political discussions can be more damaging to your career than wearing a t-shirt that says I *heart* donkey dick in an executives meeting. But that’s what happens when you work with people in political positions…everyone is scared to talk about anything for fear of it being misconstrued as being political.…even the love triangle (or “love dodecahedron” since I’m not sure how many people are involved in it now) is quiet. It makes me so tempted to drop something heavy just to watch everyone jump. I know it’s not this way in other offices with our organization, but this office has never been anything close to normal, and JRX can attest to that.

Tonight, I expect to be bored. I also expect to be up late watching the polls….I may be playing Fallout, we may be watching our week of DVR that we have to catch up on….but the big thing I expect…something is going to happen.

No matter what the results of tonight’s voting happen to be, be careful, this may result in dangerous conditions in the heavily populated areas. I don’t know if there are any warnings out about this or not, but please, just be careful.

Sorry about the odd post, but I’m just getting a bad feeling that something will be happening soon, I’m not sure what, it’s just a feeling I get, a feeling that I have learned to trust.

In other news, I was out and about last night, I saw a few deer in the fields by the road, and was driving very carefully. I ran my errand, and was headed back home....along side the road there was a Ford Expedition half off the road, blinkers on. I stopped to see if the person was ok...it was a petite soccer mom, (maybe 35) crying hysterically....I asked if she was ok, she said "yes, but I almost hit that deer...." something was not quite right about that statement...and I (mistakenly) corrected her..."you didn't 'almost' hit that deer, it's currently folded in half and wedged under your front bumper."(also it had been plowed into the embankment when she drove of the road, but I left that part out)....she responded "Oh, my god, is it ok? we should call a vet!" I checked the front of the SUV, then the large drag mark stretching back 50 feet from where she stopped....."Um, no, I don't think it's going to make it." *more hysterical crying*...I waited...*even more hysterical crying*...Me; "do you want me to call someone for you" Her; "no, I'm ok, I'll be fine in an hour or two" (yeah, like I'm going to wait on her that long)....she started to call her husband, and I left... I know there are people who don't understand death, who cant accept that they were responsible (maybe not at fault but still responsible) for the death of a creature, but there is also a point where it impacts their ability to commute in a safe manner....and they should also take into account that nature doesn't use a sidewalk, or cross at those wildlife crossing signs. It's up to you to watchout for them.

A bit more about me.

I know I don’t post over the weekend but, weekends are for gaming!

I am getting ready to post my first article for the home page. And I would like to let people know about me a bit more before I start receiving hate mail over a select few comments. I have nothing against any of the games I comment on. I love it when a developer tries something new. But “new” has become more of a recycled/hand-me-down type of new. Even TV shows are just recycling ideas. I want something that is ground up NEW!

But I worked for a group a while ago that owned a very large number of early arcade games. I was employed to fix these golden classics, the original Mario brothers, the original Galaga, even the original Trap Shoot and silent hunter. I immersed myself in those games, every component, every detail, every game type. And to sit ang play the games that were the grandfathers to anything we play today was a humbling approach, especially when you see that the hardware that drove these games was less complex than most clock radios are today. To see what they accomplished with such limited technology, it really makes me wonder if what we have now is still only scratching the surface of what we are capable of with the advancement of technology….

Anyway….I’m still fighting to distance myself from the political debates, I feel that I have way too much to say that can be posted into a single blog, or many blogs…but I know that there is nothing I can say to change anyone’s mind since nothing that anyone has said has changed my mind. So in the interest of not causing myself to have a brain aneurism and die from frustration…I’m just going to be skipping all political blogs until….forever.

Now to the gaming….We broke 58,000 this weekend. Got in a ton of Fallout 3, a lot of Penny Arcade 2, and even some UT3. I can’t wait for COD: World at War and L4D to release…

and more fallout....

we had fun last night, COD4 clan night...until the Timmys invaded and started chanting Pancake! Pancake! Pancake!....I hate Timmy's...but overall it was fun...I could tell that JRX still had work weighing heavy on her mind...to the point that getting Penny Arcade Ep2 didn't even help too much. But after COD we caught up on TrueBlood, then JRX went to bed and I got in a bit of Fallout 3....again I did not get much sleep...but I do feel alot more...um...ok, I can't think of the word I want which means I'm not as 'with it' as I thought I was...but we are off work tomorrow, and are planning a small day trip to Gettysburg (about a 45 min drive) then back in time for Halo night with the clan. Tonight, I'm debating a bit of fable 2, some Fallout 3, and I may get us in a few public COD matches since JRX has NOTHING unlocked in the game....and lets face it...when you can't even create a custom class, the game loses something.
