just 3.5 more hours

3.5 hours until the start of my early weekend....if the last hour was any indication to how these next few are going to go, I'll die of old age before the end of the day. But before anyone gets jellous about my being off work...I have to do a ton of christmas shopping, and clean the house...make something for a Christmas party on Sunday, and possibly keep working on finishing the basement. Now for the best part.....they are calling for snow, ice, and all around bad conditions...now I don't mind driving in snow or even ice....but I do mind other people driving around me while I drive in snow or ice....take the best/safest driver in the world, put them in a bad weather condition then add 10,000 people around them that have no clue how to drive in the snow or ice, but think that they are invincable because they have 4 wheel drive....you know where I'm going with that. Tuesday was a great example of this. we were driving home in semi bad weather, there was snow on the roads, turning to shush and we were following a truck and a school bus...the bus was traveling at 5 under the speed limit...driving save, driving slow....the truck was about 4' off the bus's bumber and was continuously trying to pass in the oncomming lane in a no passing zone, on a winding/hilly road....I've seen fatal accidents on this road in ideal conditions...this guy was boarderline suicidal.

and it appears I got off track again(is it considdered getting off track if you don't have anything else to add to the jacked topic?)....anyway, I have been finding myself more and more addicted to COD WaW, I don't know if it has something to do with there being achievements for reaching the last prestige(not that i've reached the first (in WaW or 4) but I feel like it's something I want to do, keep the game fresh, keep those challenges coming....maybe it has something to do with my improvement in skill...mainly sniper....maybe it has to do with tearing the timmys apart as they run around like idiots trying to find my hiding spot...

on another note, I had an odd run in with someone on live the other night...after listening to 3 guys chatting I overheard that the one was in the military and was getting shipped out to iraq in 2 weeks. I waited till there was a break in to the conversation and I broke in to tell the guy thank you for his service to this country and for the work her is doing to maintain our freedoms. Then I asked him where he was going because I have friends who are stationed overseas....well you would have thought I just called him a pansy and kicked his mother in the head...he said "the place where they kill fags like you(me)"....( I let that go since I thought he was trying to impress his friends)......I asked him what branch he was in, he said "I'm in M$^@@$ F%#%ing all of them, ya quier" after that, simply put, he freaked.... about people like me trying to MURDER people like him by sending them places that should be bombed into nothingness from the comfort of our couches, "we should be killing all of those G!@ D$#@ towlies(?), men women and children". That there is no reason I should ever try to talk to him, that I am a terrorist by supporting people like President Bush as he systematically eliminated our military men so we'll be no match when the taliban decides to invade and take over this country(no I'm not making that last part up, that's what he said)....now I got friggin pissed, I called him a traitor to this country and a traitor to the armed forces and accused him of joining the military becasue he thought it was a big paycheck without any responsabilities....then I gave him negative feedback and left the room....I seriously think he was just some a$$ looking to degrade the reputations of our servicemen, I have NEVER had a military man insult me, and don't know any who would be mad about a complete stranger thanking them for what they do(even if they didn't agree with what they do). Yes, I'm still pissed about what he said...But the next time I run across a military man on live, I will be thanking him (or her) just the same. After all, it may be an Army of 1, but I'm sure that 1 is not an a$$ hole like that guy.

I am debating making this a short day...maybe 2:00...I'm sure I can get in some quality game time and still be ready for clan night....tonight it's COD WaW....but since we've had clan night for COD WaW every night this week it might be time to play something different on Thursday night....maybe COD4...

....and no, still no "I Wnt a Hippopotomus for Cristmas"....the last thing I need today is to have that song stuck in my head again..........damn.

In other news....I'm bored, after a late night playing COD WaW I feel like the day is going in slow motion. Since this week is my office's Christmas party I won't be able to get much work done. I don't participate, not because it's Christmas, but becaue I don't like the people I work with and have nothing in common with them. I like games....they don't.  I am using my knowledge to make myself a more efficent employee....they are about 3 years behind on implementing the available technology this office has.  I work.... they have parties that last 3 hours a day, every day for a week to celebrate Christmas....  But all this will change when we reorganize....but don't tell them that, they will continue to claim that nothing WILL change, because nothing HAS changed in 5 years.....and many have ever discussed pushing for a lawsuite to stop it because they don't like it....yup that's a great reason to stop progress....

what a weekend

Well, Friday we missed Clan night with 2old4Timmy....which sucked, but we had to do the political thing and go to the christmas party for the wife's office....which was interesting...there was TONS of alcohol. and a DJ who thought he could sing....but over all it was a semi-entertaining party....then the interesting stuff happened, a group of us, including several high up bosses drove down the street to a club, called the Hardware Bar, Now I've never been clubbing, but that was seriously fun, the guy to girl ratio was about 1-3 (my loving wife stayed right by my side to make sure I didn't get into any trouble) and there was a kick ass band there, Pink Slip from Scranton, PA. They played all covers but they were friggin awesome, they played alot of alt. rock, some old school rock with a punk edge, and I think all of Buck Cherry's songs. I was going to post a youtube vid of them, but the only band I see called Pink Slip is not them.

Anyway, the combination of girls dancing on the bar, girls dancing on stage, girls dancing in in the pit,....and every other surface that they could dance on, the massive quantity of reasonably priced beer, and the kick ass band....I'd rate the whole evening/morning as a 9.5/10....the only thing that could have made it better would have been a basket of wings and a pile of baccon cheader fries....which we actually had Saturday night, so, over all it was a great weekend.....oh and Sunday we played games ALL DAY....so, yeah, nearly perfect weekend.

Also I finally found a Wii game that may hold my interest for the long term....BoomBlox....that game is AWESOME.
