Fallout 3

I'm not sure how well I can write a review at the moment, I played the game from 7pm until about 2am, went to bed and couldn't sleep thinking about playing the game more, for up at 5:30 am, made coffee....drank coffee, and played more Fallout, drank more coffee, went to work....all I can think about is that game...it's like mixing Oblivion,a better version of Stalker, and crack into one amazingly fantastic super awesome game....and my mind is not much good for anything but thinking about the game.

I am kindof bummed that my forearms are too big for the Survival edition Pipboy to fit over my arm, but it's still pretty awesome. 

now, back to my currently unproductive working, and thinking about Fallout.....I need more coffee.

But there will be limited Fallout play tonight since it's COD4 night.

What I learn from Japanese TV.

es, I have developed a strange addiction with streaming Japanese radio stations through my PC....they said we can stream Internet Radio...they never said it had to be American radio....Anyway, I just got done listening to an awesome band called Girugamesh.  They have a fantastic Alternative Rock sound, and they even have a good look...despite their videos being so jumpy they are nearly impossible to actually interpret what you are seeing before it jumps to the next 1/4 second scene.  I'm debating picking up a few songs to load on the 360 for playing online (after a while, I just need a bit more than the blah background music(if the game even has any music).

A strange realization

With the large number of games releasing on 11/11, I made a hard realization, Now that the wife has her system all set up and is getting into clan night with 2o4Timmy....I need 2 copies of COD: World at War, and two copies of L4D. that means I have to cut almost every other game off of my shopping list and move them over to my wish list...now I'm sure many of you are thinking "wow that sucks" but frankly I couldn't be happier, I have been looking for a reason to stick with a few good games and move away from the Buy and trade cycle that I've been stuck in for the past 10 years. When she said, "I want you to set up for me to play too" I felt like I was now given permission to be the gamer I always wanted to be. a bit more casual, less achievement hunting (not that I'll stop hunting, just cut back a bit) I feel like we are getting closer to finding a comfortable routine that includes work, the gym, going to see the occasional movie.....and Clan nights. Wednesday will be our first clan night together with COD4(Friday was Halo night), so this will be fun as she starts to learn the hard lessons about the diferences between campaign and Multiplayer...like; you may want to stand there and snipe, but these people will learn what you are doing and take a different path so they can stab you in the back. but she's a fast learner, and she won't stay at the noob level for long.

One more day, that is it, just one more day and the one game that will suck away the rest of my life will arrive at my house with my very own PipBoy. I know it might not be as big and threatening as your very own life size lancer…but then again, unlike your lancers....my neighbors won’t call the police because I’m carrying around something that looks like a HUGE wristwatch.  Anyway, since it’s been a little while since I updated…we now have 2 copies of COD4 and 2 copies of Halo 3, we have both of our 360s hooked up and ready…it’s time for some online massacres!!

Or if Halo on Friday was any indication of the way COD4 will go….I have to make sure I DO NOT shoot the wife. Yes, I learned my lesson…even though we are on different teams, that does not mean we are ON different teams.

Lazy day at home.

I love these long weekends...yes I'm off work today. but the big thing is that our Elite is schedueled to be returned today!!! compine that with our buying a second copy of COD4, and this should be a fun weekend. 

in preparation for the multiplayer fun, I handed controll over to JRX and she had a blast in the COD campaign....even scoring the 4 head shots in a row achievement with only 2 bullets...yes that's right..each shot went through the heads of two people....I was amazed....she was gloating...fun was had by all...anyway...the PODcast is up...and it sounds great...Thanks to all who contribute and don't forget to donat to the site..now back to Fable 2...
