Games and work....same stuff different day.

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate my job.... it wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the boredom and the nosey/needy co-workers, and the parties, sorry, I came to work to get a job done, not spend 3 hours of a 1 hour lunch eating chips and talking about how busy everyone is and how there arent' enough hours in the day to do all the work they have.....let's cut out the weekly party and "TA DA" that's 2 more hours in the week that they can work....there, I have saved the organization tons of money....now pay me more.

I feel happy with my 360voice recap of this week. and with 2 new gamefly games set to arive this week, I'm interested to see what new achievements I can get. We finally beat round 50 of Hord, yes it was on casual, but I suck at Gears 2 so I'm really pretty happy. and all it took was a ton of help from Loco, DC Captain, Lethean Grazer, Rumble pie, Dal80 and my darling wife. (plus several people from last week like Swank, yes, I'm thanking Swank, and Kustkillme2). now all we have to do is figure out how to beat gears 2 on Hardcore and insane, and Gears 2 on Normal, hardcore, and insane....then all the multiplayer...the Seriously (1 and 2) achievements....we have our work cut out for us.

Automan21k's Weekly Recap - Dec 1 2008

Watch closely because here comes the recap... if you aren't paying attention, you might miss it: If your Xbox is depressed, try playing seven days in a row like Automan21k did last week. It has a way of making you a bit giddy... Too bad gamerscore isn't money because with an increase of 1075 points we could make some bank. Yay for 51 achievements! w00t!

I was lucky enough to sample 3 new tasty treats during the week! Game names are Aegis Wing, Assault Heroes 2, and Gears of War 2. Look for us in the leaderboards... maybe... Also, I think Automan21k's favorite game last week was CoD: World at War. He played it on 4 of the days.

returning to wasting my time.

Well, what a week this has been, the wife was off ALL WEEK, I had some time to digest all the reported changes that my organization will be undergoing....and we managed to survive yet another family holiday. We made a run through the normal difficulties of Gears 1 and 2....AWESOME! and caught up on about 5 weeks of DVR that we have been neglecting. I'm still really depressed about being back at work.....again.....

but on a lighter note, we happened to run across something very very funny over the weekend....so, I present to you our submission to Failblog. Any votes to get this up on the main page would be appreciated.

for Black Friday

this one is dedicated to all those who will be working retail this Friday....personally I won't be leaving the house...

I worked in a video game store for 2 Black Fridays durring college.  I swore I would never do it again....and that's a promise I don't intend to break....ever.  if you ever feel the need to hate everyone everywhere....work a game store on that day.  you will hate yourself for being the same species of some of these creatures. About 90% of the people you see are like sheep, follow the person in front of them and wrok throught the assemply line...but that 10% that doesn't conform are the real head ach generators. We even came up with nicknames for the different trouble makers

here are some examples

1. the Worship Me - the person who spends slightly more than the person in front of them and demands special treatment and extra discounts because of it.

2. the Clueless- doesn't know what they want but will get in line at the register and try to chew the check out persons ear off to find out "what the kids like these days"

3. the bargan fighter- a person finds the one item that is not discounted who demands it  for a discount because it's black Friday

4. the bargan hunter- the person who picks up an item, gets in line, then starts calling other stores to try to find it cheaper before they have to check-out

5. the poacher- someone who uses Black Friday as the day to call your store and ask 50 useless questions about an item that they found at another store for cheaper. 

6. the non-believer - the person who comes to your store and asks for the most indemand item of the year at 7:00pm, and throws a fit and demands to take a look at your stock room when you tell them you don't have any more(or worse yet, your store doesn't carry it).
 

7. the split payer-  you all know this one....I would like to pay $20 in cash, $12.25 on debit, $26.50 on this credit card, $8 on a gift card, and the remainder on a Gas Card or some other type of card that you can't accept.

8. the ultra clueless - the person who picke up $1200.00 in game systems and games only to stop at the door and ask you if you think a PS3, all the Grand Theft auto games, Man Hunt, 50 cent, and Leisure Suit Larry would give their 5 year old and 7 year old a hard time with learning the controlls.
