Need for Speed Not Answered

Well at least not in the demo. With much anticipation I downloaded the NFS: Carbon demo last night. What I found was dissapointing. While you the customization in the game was a nice addition, the cars felt stiff and slow. I used both the Camaro SS and the Gallardo only, but I'm sure the Evo reacted the same and I can't drive it out of principle (STI owner, LOL).

To me the drifting control scheme has changed for the worse, not as much about drifting the car anymore, just seems to be about driving fast and screeching the tires around a turn.

I also felt like I was driving a Pinto, not a Gllardo, the sense of speed was at a snail pace in comparison to even NFS: Most Wanted, not to mention in other racing games.

This game demo has taken NFS Carbon from must buy to might rent for me at least. Please Rockstar bring me a new Midnight Club.

Not Enough TIme

Just thinking about what will be coming out over the next month or so and I can't decide what I feel is the one to buy.

But I think I have narrowed it down to 4 titles:

1- Need for Speed Carbon- Always been a fan of the series, just hope they start back in the right direction, especially after Midnight Club 3 made them look silly, IMHO. But graphically and the thought of racing at night defenitely have me excited. Plus I have a week to finish it before the next three titles arrive.

2- COD3- Lets just hope the multiplayer is right this time around, but need I say more.

3- Rainbow Six Vegas - GRAW in casinos. Should be a blast and hopefully some good Co-op.

4- GOW - I put this one at the bottom. I know its supposed to be the next best thing and I'll pick it up along with everyone else. Just hope I'm not heading back to Gamestop to trade it in after a week, butm my gut is telling me after running through it one time and then playing some Co-op. That I'll be spending my multiplayer days in COD or RS.

Luckily Crackdown, Forza and some other titles have been pushed back into next year. Too many titles to choose from. I've even decided to stave off the Wii for a while due to the multitude of games coming on the next couple months.

The Resident PWNO

Well only Taxi, DSmooth and DP really know what Im talking about, but we had our first place battle the UNO Doubles Tourney. Me and DP won a slugfest in 3 games, but hats off to a good group of games. Even if it was all Taxis fault.

And almost back to normal or what can be expected from my surgery. Probably back to work Monday, what fun.

Surgery Complete

Well just got home from the hospital, so far pretty painless. Just a bit of discomfort in the knee. But the pain pills are doing pretty good.

Knee Surgery

Well though this may sound a bit twisted, but Im looking forward to my knee surgery tomorrow, if not only for the fact that Ill be off work for 2 weeks and be able to do alot of gaming.

Just sucks that I wont be able to skip out on school also, but this damn summer anatomy class is to much info to be missing any days in.

Well Im sure Ill see alot of you around during my little many vacation/recovery time.

By the way if your wondering its supposedly just a simple procedure to remove some torn cartilidge. Was told could go back to work by Firday possibly, but I already took off for the 2 weeks, so why waste a good oppurtunity.

Table Tennis is the Shiznit

Maybe not the best game to date on the system but defenitely worth the money. Its fairly easy to pick up, but seems like itll be hard to master. So if youve been thinking about, jump in your car and go pick it up, at least IMHO.
