Doing the right thing?
Sometimes it seems that doing the "right" thing is just a waste of time, especially when dealing with companies. So here's my tale from today as also posted in the RB forums.
Just thought I would give you all a heads up on my problems with the ION kit and more importantly the companies warranty/repair program. I was given an RMA # and sent it in my controllerr portion of my drum rocker, as I was having it say controller disconnected every 2-5 songs while playing (making it impossible to play online). I shipped out on the 9th of December at my expense and they agreed to ship back with same type of shipping free of cost.
Fast forward to today, I called to check the status as I'm Jonesing to play some RB2 on drums and I was told it was on its way back, great news until I was told that they found nothing wrong and I was getting my original unit back. I got nowhere with them and was told after I got my controller back to initiate a new claim.
So my advice to you is to do what my next step in my new warranty process is, if you have any problems with your ION. Order a new from your store of choice (waiting for it to come UPS) and then just open the box carefully, swap the bad components and then return to store. Alot of stores are even offering free shipping with this shit economy. This way you won't spend a dime out of pocket and you will be able to be back rocking much more quickly.
Today was one of those days I wish I could have jump through the phone and crushed the person on the other end of the phone if you know what I mean.

I had to laugh at this one
From my 360voice blog after winning Mulch's Holiday Challenge, see the last paragraph:
Banjocut's Xbox - Dec 27 2008
When Banjocut was walking by I pretended to be off. I think it tricked him into turning me on for a few games. Gamer score stands at 106,217. That is an improvement of 110 points over last time! He rallied NBA 2K9 picking up 3 achievements, NCAA® Football 09 picking up 3 achievements, and oh... don't tell Banjocut this, but I have been dumbing down the AI lately... I am hoping it keeps him coming back for more! MUHAHAHA!
Hmmm... I just realized... Banjocut must not have anything major going on in his life right now because we have gamed 110 days in a row! Can you believe it?
Oh hey, remember the challenge that Banjocut was in? It has come to an end. It wasn't even a challenge really. It was more like a declaration of experience and skill as Banjocut won it all! I don't think the other 13 participants even knew what hit 'em! Anyhow, good game everyone.
Good luck to all on the next challenge, as I'll be sitting this one out.

It's Official
Well I finally made it to 100K on my gamerscore. Yeah for me.
Not that the last year has been anything special as I've dropped off on score alot since rock Band came out, but none the less it finally happened.

Need for Speed Not Answered
Well at least not in the demo. With much anticipation I downloaded the NFS: Carbon demo last night. What I found was dissapointing. While you the customization in the game was a nice addition, the cars felt stiff and slow. I used both the Camaro SS and the Gallardo only, but I'm sure the Evo reacted the same and I can't drive it out of principle (STI owner, LOL).
To me the drifting control scheme has changed for the worse, not as much about drifting the car anymore, just seems to be about driving fast and screeching the tires around a turn.
I also felt like I was driving a Pinto, not a Gllardo, the sense of speed was at a snail pace in comparison to even NFS: Most Wanted, not to mention in other racing games.
This game demo has taken NFS Carbon from must buy to might rent for me at least. Please Rockstar bring me a new Midnight Club.
