I’m a noob (I think I’m using that properly) to gamer-slang, ipods/podcasting, website communities, blogging, etc.  So, please bear with me if I commit any cyber-culture faux pas.  I thought I’d give this blog thing a try.
 

I’ve been on Xbox Live since the beta test days.  My original (and still active) gamertag is “Abracadaver”.  However, one day I thought it would be clever to have a gamertag that smartly finished the sentence “You were killed by _____”, and my alter-gamertag-ego, “Poor Judgment” was born.  Since that describes any FPS (first person shooter) strategy of mine, I typically play under that gamertag.
 

[Side note, where I work, initialisms are rampant in people’s memos / e-mails, and most of the authors don’t remember what the term means when asked.  Consequently, people who think they are communicating efficiently, are essentially not communicating at all!  I also have some anal-retentive tendencies.  So, you’ll often see that I will define certain initialisms that may be incredibly obvious to most.  However, I define it for those who may be new to the term, in the hope that the favor will someday be returned when I (in a state of ignorance) come across someone else’s writings.]
