B-Day

Had an awesome birthday on Friday. Took off early to do some painting and took the kids to Transformers. It was a blast. The whole day was great. I do need to remember not to let my youngest drink too much pop. I had to take him to the bathroom twice during the movie.

Discouragment

Here is something that I heard in church about a year ago that has stuck with me that I wanted to share.

Discouragement - A Tool of the Devil
By: Author Unknown

Once upon a time it was announced that the devil
was going out of business and would sell all
his equipment to those who were willing to pay the price.

On the big day of the sale,
all his tools were attractively displayed.
There were Envy, Jealousy, Hatred, Malice, Deceit, Sensuality, Pride,
Idolatry, and other implements of evil display. Each of the tools was
Marked with its own price tag.

Over in the corner by itself was a harmless looking,
wedge-shaped tool very much worn, but still it bore a
higher price than any of the others.
Someone asked the devil what it was, and he answered,
"That is Discouragement."
The next question came quickly,
"And why is it priced so high even though
it is plain to see that it is worn more than these others?"

Because replied the devil,
"It is more useful to me than all these others.
I can pry open and get into a man's heart with that
when I cannot get near him with any other too
Once I get inside, I can use him in whatever way
suits me best. It is worn well because
I use it on everybody I can,
and few people even know it belongs to me."

This tool was priced so high that no one could buy it, and to this day it has never been sold.
It still belongs to the devil,
and he still uses it on mankind.

COD 2

Picked up COD 2 again this weekend. Funny story is that my wife knew I
traded it off months ago and said she wouldn't be to happy to find out if I
bought any game I have traded back. Well she figured it out when I was
wearing my COD 2 t-shirt I paint in last night. I just smiled because it
was a wash and she understood. Used the credit I had put on Unreal 2007 to
pick it up. Need to practice for COD 4 and play with some of my clan mates
from 2old4duty that I have recently joined. I'm in 2old2playHalo and
2old4Duty. One clan for Halo and the other for my other shooters I like.

Friends List

I have found it amazing as to how quickly my friends list has filled up. I
have been on-line since Halo 2 release and went 3 years of only having 30
some people on it. When I found 2old2play, it has filled rapidly and I have
run out of room several times. Sure enjoy playing with all of you guys and
gals. One thing I wish my friends list had was a place to jot down some
notes about that person. It would help jog my memory a little if I haven't
played with them in a while.

Monitoring

Boy do I have a company that likes to monitor everything. They monitor your
internet activity and emails. I looked at the company policy and basically
anything and everything is forbidden over lunch or after hours. I can
understand on company time but not on lunches or after working hours. The
town I work in has a population of about 300. I commute from a bigger town
(1,300) about 25 miles away. So I don't have much to do over lunch. I
usually work out or go for walks. It sure would be nice to surf or check
emails.
