| I didn't want a Wii
I guess most people are pretty happy with things the way they are now. Thanks jcotter and doorgunner for your input
I've never been much of a one to long for things to stay the same. On the other hand, I believe in the old adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." The old system with the larger pages worked just fine for me. I liked the way you could customize it and all. So far as I can tell only two things good have come out of this mess. Like jcotter said, the party features are a bonus. Leaving the group's game and venturing off to make changes somewhere else always meant losing contact with the group. No more. That and I like the idea of placing your more frequently played games directly onto the hard drive. Such a feature would have prevented wearing out the turntables on three of my old PS2s back in the day.
As for those avatars, well lets just say if I wanted a damned Wii I would have wasted the money on one. Maybe they will grow on me. I don't know. But I am already sick of looking at them. I just hope as time goes by they get more useful and not so useless.
Now to digress.
Christmas is coming far too quickly for my liking. Maybe a couple pics of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will help me get into the Christmas spirit

Naw. Didn't work for me either.

| CoD:W@W...
Gamefly sent me some goodness - CoD: World at War. Just in time since I've been jonesing for something to kill. I just hope my sister bought Red Alert 3 for my b-day (next Monday).
In other actions, over the past week I've rebuilt my main PC into a quad-cored over-clocked minor-diety box. Got a Q6600 quad-core that runs stock at 2.4 ghz and pumped it up to 3.33 ghz (it'll do 3.5, but it then gets too hot). Four gigs memory (3.4 usable), a kick-ass 9800 gtx video card and created a hardware striped raid array for my boot and applications (games) drive. To top it off, I also bought a 24" panel. The rig & panel run like champs and should make me very happy over the next four years.
Anybody else noticing the slacking-off of whomever is supposed to be updating the 'currently playing' lists? A scroll through the list would find many games missing.
Well, I've got C&C 3: Tiberium Wars and UT2004 on the PC. Soon to be joined by SimCity 4 and maybe Red Alert 3. Too bad there isn't a PC blogging site like 360voice...
Was that it? I'm sure there is something else. Maybe next time...

| 92% SATISFIED
So after a day or so of trying to workaround the whole mobile me service from apple, I came to the conclusion aroun 7:13 last night to breakdown and go with the service, and to my amazement everything is working smoothly, with the exception of the whole google contact sync. I figured I wasn't big on internet contacts at google for scheduling before, so I should stop being a baby about that one little short coming. I can not recommend strongly enough the amazing app that is Jott. This morning I got a call from the publicist notifying me that I have a HUGE national radio appearance this friday from 8:05 to 8:27...after hanging up, I call jott and the conversation goes like this:
what would you like to Jott? OUTLOOK CALENDAR
BEEP: record voice message with details and call in number
what day: FRIDAY
what time: 8:05
am or pm? PM
after about 10 minutes or so it's scheduled in my iphone, my google calendar, and when I got home this afternoon, BAM! in my outlook as well!
so I'm back in love with my iPHONE, just not so in love twith the $100/year I got to pay to mobile me (for now ~ I'm sure somebody will come up with a work around, and soon)
p.s. did I mention I can call jott and make a blog entry at wordpress? BAM!

| Customs FTW!
Matchmaking sucks! well actually it doesn't really suck but it doesn't have that taste anymore, specially because customs are so much fun. Its like steak and chicken in a grilling choice, chicken wont taste that bad if steak wasn't that good, you know. You might think i got owned in MM and am just whining, rest assured that's not the case. Let me explain why customs are so much better:
Reason 1: Oh, lets play that: When was the last time you played KOTH on Pit or Oddball on Guardian or Multi-Flag on Narrows, or 1-Flag on Blackout, or Rocket Race on Sandtrap Stunts in a match-made game? see, almost never. We don't have much choice on what we play, except a veto that normally gives you Land Grab on Isolation.
Reason 2: Hey guys I just sniped Jonny: Every time I out-BR Dank or KS, or beat Cica in a mongoose chase, or snipe Jonny first, it puts a smile on my face. Why? because I know these guys are damn good with these things. Its just not that fun beating or getting beat by a bunch of randoms, specially you know that most timmies dont communicate, you just win or loose based on some random skill and lag consequences, where is the fun in that.
Reason 3: Veeda go blue: if one team is stacked you mix it up, or at least you have the choice, last night in a BTB Game 2 guys from the opposing team quit even before the game was picked, sure we beat the crap out of them but it was pretty tasteless.
Reason 4: You Again!: This one is kinda related to reason 2, you know who'd be jumping the man-cannon to laser on Avalanche, you know who'd be camping in the base with sword on Pit, you know who'd be timing the OS respawn on Ghost Town, and they know you, and hilarity ensues when you both meet there, a t-bag is normally in order to show they knew you'd be here This is how Camp Froman was named, right?
Sure there are some customs that are bit complex at first and you might not understand the map or game right away, but I'd take the veggies with my steak any day

| Absolutely pathetic
This is the shittiest, most pathetic story I can remember reading in recent memory.
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27996349/
This story makes me so angry I literally want to hit something. F-ing pathetic loser a-holes. Trampling a person to get into a G D store and buy a f-king TV set. How much of a lowlife do you have to be to STEP ON SOMEONE and keep running into the store without stopping to help?
Fuck humanity. Seriously, right now I wish a burning ball of fire would just obliterate this f-g planet. I know there are worse stories out there, and more tragic ones, but really. A fu-g SALE! A SALE ON FU-ING CHEAP SHIT! And you're going to push into the doors of a store to the point you crumple the -king metal doors?
I wish there was a way they could track down and arrest every piece of shit motherfuc-g waste of existence that participated in that f-ery, and line them up against a wall and shoot them. The end.
