Curling Ears
Picture this your six months old, just starting out in the world. Learning the in and outs of your social interactions, whos the highest on the pecking order and making sure you leave them alone. Learning why you and your mom run towards the sound of the truck horn. The little things.
When all of a sudden your attacked by a vicious enemy one that you cant see or destroy without help from those of us lucky enough to be born with thumbs. The parasite is a vicious blood sucker who crawls to your ears and attaches on your young soft tissue, injecting an anticoagulant into your ear causing a lack of blood circulation, and painful swelling that causes your ears to curl.
This is what I imagine the young calves feel each spring when the ticks come out. And yes we hand pick the nasty ass things out of their ears, helping to heal the infection and straighten the ears. It happens each spring, and its especially bad when we have warm winters like this year.
Why do I share this with you? Because I just got done pulling hundreds of ticks out of ears, and I feel like ticks are crawling all over me (even after a shower) and wanted to share the feeling with the world.
So that little itch your feeling....
Suck it
(has new meaning doesnt it)
