MLG Dallas
Hey what can I say, we showed up, and played our best given the situation.
Highlights of my weekend
We walk into the venue to suprise suprise, timmies, everywhere. ;; I felt alien, out of place, and as Drost said I wanted to grab the closest one and beat the crap out of them for all the bad matchmaking experiences. ;; Revenge would have been sweat bliss.
First match, I play well, for split screen, and steal a last second kill to advance. ;; After that match I knew what kind of a weekend we were going to have. ;; The game play was faster than anything that I have experienced over live. ;; Including all the FFAs that Profanity and Alpha did in the weeks prior.
Second FFA match, and as most now know I played against Foulacy, our teacher. ;; I actually think I could have advanced past that round if it wasnt for him, he is mad skilled, and ended the match before I had a chance to catch fourth place, I think I was like 4 kills out, a smaller gap than the first one that I closed. ;; Foulacy is a stand up guy, he new my tag and before the match started he stood up from his screen and looked over at me and just smiled, bastard, lol. ;; After he finished beating all of us to a pulp he came over and shot the shit will team Profanity for several minutes. ;; He won my loyalty with that, I hope some day Str8 beats final boss.
Little poison is little, and absolutely destroys.
Beer is good
No one I play with is good, sorry, we are good for our age. ;; That being said thanks to my team for the experience, and thanks a bunch to Alpha for scrimmaging us almost constantly the week prior to mlg. ;; Im not saying that we couldnt beat some of those teams, we learned loads at the event and all I can say is that none of us use cover enough to make it to the fourth round of a FFA.
rrxyy is legit and not a programmable controller, I sat down next to a kid (litterally, 12) and he was doing it like it was a cake walk. ;; Interestingly he didnt do very well in his round imagine that, he focused to much on that combo and lost.
Overall a great experience and I will do it again next year if it comes back to Dallas.
Suck it
