Asombroso

Over the weekend I stopped at my local BevMo to pick up some Wild Turkey. I always spend way to much time perusing the rows of liquor. While in the Tequila section I noticed they got some Asombroso in stock. I have heard a lot of good things about this company so I figured I would pick some up. Well I noticed the price on the Anejo $170.00. Now I don't usually balk at the prices on good liquor but I have never had this one before. While standing there staring at the bottle (behind locked doors of course) one of the sales people walked up to me and asked if I needed anything? Well I confided my dilemma, lo and behold they had an answer for me they just got some 50ml bottles in stock at $24.99 I jumped at the chance. I took my teeny weenie bottle of expensive tequila home and fired up my grill. After grilling up a Ribeye and some peppers I sat down to enjoy my meal with the Asombroso. The flavors were remarkable smooth like no other tequila I have tried and none of the oily aftertaste you get from some brands. After trying this petite bottle it was all I could do not to run out and buy the big one. Well I reined in my enthusiasm and decided to wait a week or two til I have a little more disposable income. I just hope that they still have it when I can talk my self into buying it. Maybe by the time of the Socal lan rolls around I might bring this with me.
