Perils of Owning a Business

Today I was made aware that a customer bounced a five hundred dollar check to us.   So I try to call them phone has been disconnected.  Now no one knows where they are or what might have become of them.  Such a pain in the ass to try and figure this out.  This is part of the reason why I dislike people.

My first business I was lucky I never had a check bounce in 2 years.. but my current business.. I have to deal with people who claim never to receive the package..

my parents have a business and in 25 years they must have had 1000 bounced checks..

I agree really makes you hate people..

In the Netherlands, all banking transactions pass through a filtercompany called Interpay. Paying with checks is almost a thing of the past overhere, but bad checks still guarantee the seller at least a percentage of the cost of the sold item. Next to Interpay, there's a credit-watchdog called BKR.
Overhere, a person with bad credit can be found with a simple phonecall to a Deurwaarder (Dutch version of the repo-man), who'll make it right.
It never fails.

I'd like to comment on the actual blog but the near-naked asscheeks glaring me in the face is to hypnotic to think of anything else. I'll get back to ya' later today once it wears off...
