Blackjack!

No, not the card game - the Windows Mobile Smartphone by Samsung. I just got one (upgraded from a Samsung SGH-X497 after 2 years), and I'm hoping someone out there can help me out with a few links to the goodies (especially the FREE goodies) for it. I'm looking for portal sites, freeware I can run on it, games, etc. I am especially hoping that someone out there can point me in the direction of a solution for playing podcasts on it.

Can't Get Extra DiRTy?

Yesterday, I went and picked up my pre-ordered copy of DiRT and it's accompanying pre-order bonus code and came home to set about trying to access my pre-order bonus. I went to the pre-order website and entered the code from my Access Card, then entered the unique code from within the bonus code section game itself, and then entered the resulting code. But there was no joy in Mudville... I contacted tech support after repeated tries and got a response this morning.


I haven't had a chance to try again yet, but I'll post later to let you know if it works.

[Update] It works. Also, sorry for the double-posted comment below. My 'net was lagging, and my post got double-submitted.

Call of Juarez - I really want to like it, but I'm waiting to see if it will let me.

So, I went out and picked up Call of Juarez earlier this week, but I was not very happy with the pacing in the beginning. On today's episode of Achievement Junkie, Nelson gave a "mini-review" of the game and made it sound like it gets better once you get into it farther. After hearing his mini-review, I think I'm going to give it another try before giving up on it. I really want to like it, but I'm waiting to see if it will let me.

Ten Steps to Success as an Evil Overlord

Ryan Treit over at Xbox.com is at it again, this time bringing us Ten Steps to Success as an Evil Overlord, in preparation for next week's release of the game. If you haven't heard of it before now, Overlord is a new game which can best be described as Pikmin with just a touch of evil. I am very much looking forward to it, as is Mommitude. The game is rated T, which won't be a problem to any members here, although you might want to send the kids upstairs to play in their rooms while you play.

If you haven't checked it out yet, there is a demo of Overlord on the Xbox Live Marketplace which gives you a level or two to play around in to get the feel of the game.
