Careful what you say

Last week, I was at the Chinese buffet with a coworker, extolling the virtues of 2o2p.  He hasn't played online in quite some time, so he was a little out-of-touch with the latest slang.

So, during one of those oh-so-convenient lapses in background noise, I asked, "Do you know what 'teabagging' is?" 

He stuttered and stumbled and before he could finish saying, "well, sorta...", we realized the four guys at the table next to us were cracking up.  They'd missed the entire game-related part of the conversation (probably getting refills), and only heard that last line. 

Once we filled them in, they laughed and decided we weren't perverts after all.  Turns out they're occasional gamers as well, but sports games instead of shooters. 

After that, we hastily changes subjects and resumed complaining about work. 

Even though Chinese restaurants always offer it, we declined the tea.
