A Very Special Holiday

Happy Talk-Like-A-Pirate-Day to you all!

I trust ye scurvy landlubbers will be followin' the pirates code on this day of piratical parlance. 20 lashes to the bilge dog who violates the sacred tradition, and ye rations of rum will be cut to nil! If you be sailin' along the forum seas, be sure to share the the pirate-speak with the other swashbucklers, buccaneers, and corsairs of the 202P crew. Before I send ye all to the winds, heed the advice of one who knows :

"Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be Pirates" - Mark Twain

National Talk Like A Pirate Day

This is just a reminder that tomorrow, Sep 19th,  is National Talk Like A Pirate Day! I know that there are a few piratical patrons out there. And for those that aren't, it should still make for a VERY entertaining day on the forums and in-games. Well, untill tomorrow friends and cohorts...unless I find something noteworthy to blog.

P.S. Im gonna rock some Halo2 tonight. If anyone else is playing send me an invite so I can actually play video games with you guys.

Tenacious D

Ok, so if you havent heard or seen Tenacious D yet you MUST check this shit out ASAP. I sat on this DVD for almost 2 weeks and watched it last night for the first time and I have to say I can't believe I have put it off for so long. If you enjoy comedy, rock music, crude humor, crazy ass antics, and general confounding situations of reality, then this is right up your alley and I recommend you find the DVD ASAP. Tenacious D is the pipe-dream rock duo Jack Black and K.G. They are open-mic night rock star wannabes that are trying to live the rock star dream by performing weekly in a dive bar. The episodes chronicle their absolutely ridiculous and hilarious situations they wind up in. The music is actually really good will bring out the latent wailing rock star in all of you. Already twice today I have let loose my heavy metal warcry in the office, consequently scaring the shit out everyone. (I can do that where I work...cause we are all already insane and...well...it's good to be the king!) I highly recommend this to anyone that has ever had at one time or another the "I wanna be a fuckin' ROCK STAR" syndrome.

Take Off Your T-Shirt (If you can't name a song by the band thats on it!)

Phew..ok. I figured out the video thing. (Thanks to doodirock)

Back to the point. Have you seen those kids today that are like 12 wearing the Motley Crue and Twisted Sister T-Shirts that were so coveted when you were in Jr. High/High School? Yeah...they are all over my area. I see chicks in the mall wearing a friggin Sex Pistols T-shirt with their Gap jeans and a cell phone hanging around thier neck. Johnny Rotten would shit!

Anyway, this song goes out to all of us who earned and wore those concert/band tee's with respect and pride.

XBox Live Arcade is the Poop.

I just DL'd Mutant Storm Reloaded off the XBL Marketplace. Holy crap, what a great game. Mutant Storm Reloaded, Geometry Wars, and Marble Blast Ultra are super looking and completely addicting. I think I am getting more hooked on the damn XBL Arcade games than anything else!

Just picked up Ninety Nine Nights today and am also pretty impressed with that. It's just a plain hack 'n slash and shows the power of the 360 when there are 300+ goblins attacking you with no slowdown whatsoever. The particle effects are pretty cool as well.

Oh...and the good news. I also picked up Halo2 today. I gave away my old XBox to a buddy of mine (halo2 with it) when I got the 360 and have ffinally replaced all the goodness that is Halo. I jumped on and played a bit of Team Slayer action today and am pleased that I am not as rusty as I thought I was. (All that Call of Duty 2 probably helped out)

Im out to troll the forums. See you all in game or around the site.
