BURNT OUT

Well here's the full story of why I'm taking a break. As many of you know I work 2 jobs and have for over 4 years now, in the past couple of months I have been putting in overtime at my 1st job. My 1st job is from 3pm to 11pm the 2nd job is from 11:30pm to 7am in the morning. I was informed last week that at my 1st job that a operator quit and 3rd shift will need to be covered on Fridays and Saturdays 3rd shift (the days I'm off). Well I got nominated to train the new guy until I feel comfortable that he can handle it himself, which will take probably until after the first of the year. The Head Operator is planning on retiring next year which they are going to hire another guy to start getting him trained, and I'm getting stuck doing that.

A couple of years ago my dad's health got pretty bad, and he had to quit work. He fell on hard times no money, he had to wait 3 months to get his retirement. Which got him in a bind with bills. So I helped all I could and would do it again and wished I could have done more. I started working 2nd shift when my oldest daughter was in the 1st grade now, she's in 7th grade. I haven't got to spend alot of time with her in these past several years do to her going to school and me working 2nd shift. My youngest daughter I started working my 2nd job when she was 1 year old. I miss them sooo bad, I hope they understand when they get older the reason why I wasn't there was because I had, too not because I wanted too.

I started working full time at both jobs, and after 2 years cut back to part time at my second job (4 days a week). I never have no "me time" when I'm off on Fridays and Saturdays I try to do what the family wants to do or run errands, do yard work etc etc etc. I'm to the point now that I think I'm at the breaking point, I so tried that I don't have enough energy to do anything my personality has changed, I don't crack jokes all the time anymore I don't have motivation to do anything. Maybe it's a middle life crisis, but I'm only 33 (Saturday is my birthday I'll be 34), maybe I'm just burnt out I don't know. I have a overwhelming urge just to buy a motorcycle, shave my head (never have done that before) shave "clean shaved" (I have always have some type of facial hair), put a couple hundred bucks in my pocket and just pike a direction and go, and not come back for a week or so.

I don't know why I have this urge, maybe it's to do some soul searching, maybe I'm tired of life, or maybe not having a life.......

But don't worry about me I'm fine just need to figure some stuff out.

Some Random Rambling

I just thought I would blog about random stuff. Most people know that I'm from southeastern KY, yes only about 1 hour from where Kentucky Fried Chicken was orginated!!! lol. The town I live in has 4 stop lights in it, yes it's small but some very beautiful country if you just stop and look. I really love the fall, we have mountains all around use and when the leaves change it's just wonderful. I'm amost done getting both kids and the wife in school, my oldest is in the 7th grade now, (man they grow up quick) the little one is in Kindergarden this year. My wife is starting college this year. She's going into Nursing, dam it takes alot of work just to get into college, and money, she has drove out $140 in gas last week just getting ready for college. So I really don't want to know how much money we have spent on school for this year. My wife and 2 daughters are all redheads, I still don't know what I have done to deserve to live with 3 redheads but it must have been pretty bad

Mini Me League, I'm really glad Caesar started this thing up, the "in crowd" of 2o2p kinda has a bad rap. Yeah they like competitive Halo, so what? I was drafted by Fire along with Bioslayer RichardHead and Torlacher. I knew Fire, Bio and Richard from there reputations around the site. So Fire sets up a time for all of us to get together, he sends me a invite. I was a little nerves and I was the first one in the room, I thought O shit. Then we start talking about Halo, an then he just says if there is anything you want or need to know, just ask. And then Bio, Richard and Torlacher jumps in the room, these guys are super nice and answered any questions anyone had. I knew I couldn't compete with these guys and they knew it too. But they didn't care, no one told me I sucked, they just treated me like a teammate. So my hat goes off to Team Fire It Up.

I have seen where people are getting nerves about getting traded. Yeah, I have a great team with a great GM, but if I get traded, I just benefit from it. I get to play with more great players and meet people I've never played with before (and never thought I would play with them). Yes it would be nice to place in the first MML and get a prize, but if I don't so be it. I take away that I got to play with some of the best Halo players from 2o2p.

Now I'm just waiting for the guys from Clanarchy to see that I live 1 hour from where KFC was born. lol

Desire & Dedication

I have been working on my Halo game alot the past couple of months. I have also been trying to be apart of a team, to no success, and which I can't understand unless people just think my playing sucks. After playing custom games with my clan (2old2playHALO), I can tell my game has improved and I might have even suprised a couple of better players in my clan.

My biggest weakness in Halo is being the straight up slayer person, so I have been trying to work on that. I have always thought that my best role was a support player, and with that I'm happy. I have even went as far as trying to join another Halo clan one that I thought would be more competitive, and again DENIED.

So this is where the title to this blog fits in, I could take all this to heart and personnally, but I'm not. I'm just going to use all this, to strive to be better and make myself better. Because I have the desire and (if anyone is on my FL can tell you) I have the Dedication.

HALO 3

I really have a love/hate relationship with Halo, I have spent many hours of working on my own gameplay. Everything from getting Nozgoth to help me forge maps, to strafing and running when hurting. I've even went as far to post in the clan forums and public forums about getting a team going for Team Slayer (the playlist I can't stay away from). I really didn't get any bites on the team thing, but did have several people that wanted to help.

I think alot about stuff I'm passionate about, and yes Halo is one of them. I replay games in my head while at work and watch some games in theater, a couple of things that I have noticed. I have practiced strafing for hours upon hours and didn't use it that much in TS. I have a tendance to try and impress certain ppl from 2o2p, and then this past Thursday night I went into Team Slayer with 3 other Village Idiots. I didn't think we would do very good considering the rank differences 15-30. But for once in very long time, I was completely comfortable and wasn't trying to impress anyone. We won 6 out of 8 games, with the 2 we lost losing by a slim margin. And then I noticed, I was strafing like I practiced for so long.

So all in all I would just like to thank the ones hows helped me.

I Need Advice

Last Thursday I called xbox about the repairs of my 360. They said it would be shipped back to me by the end of last week. I call back yesterday and it is still being repaired. The agent told me to call back today. I called back today just a little upset, I get the same run around. So I ask to speak to a supervisor and ask for some compensation for this misleading information. I explained to the supervisor that Halo 3 was being released the 25th, my birthday was the 27th, and I was invited to a LAN party on the 28th. No remorse from the supervisor he just says he can't do anything for me. I told him that I know of people getting "classic" 360 games and microsoft points in situations like this. He then informes me that ON ONE can give me ANY compensation, and that I would just have to live with it.

It's there anything I can do? I understand that it takes time to fix something broken, but I had a agent tell me that it would begin the shipping back to me last week.

Things I Hate

In no specific order

1. Standing in a 10 item or less lane behind someone with a BUGGY FULL OF SHIT!!!

2. Driving 60 MPH and someone pulls out infront of you so, you have to slow down to 30 MPH!!!!!!!

3. Co-workers who ride the coat-tails of others, "I have to run to "town" for a minute. 2 hours later they show back up WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Bosses who surround them self with smart people to make them look smart. Have you ever tried to reason with a idiot?!?!?!?(for a boss)

5. People who won't quit, look when your 76 years old, don't stay at work and sleep, I sleep better in my own bed. I'm sure you would too!!!!

6. People who go to college and get an asst manager job at Wal-Mart, and walks around like you are the dirt on there shoes. Your a fuckin Asst. Manager at Wal-Mart, you didn't cure cancer, you wasted your time and your parents money on school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I'm started to get mad, so I will have to lighten things up.

7. DualShock protect me while I go get the covie snipe, (I have to human snipe) OK no prob. (We're playing on Relic) I see blue people they must die. Man it would be cool if I could do one of those "jumping snipes" like Malinko does. So I hit zoom, jump up and to the right, I miss the head shot, but get a body shot. No prob, when I land I'll finish him off. No I fall to my death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I jump in the water. After I respawn, I hear hey DualShock how did you die? I didn't respond.

8. Playing on Lockout and always getting atleast one suicide.

9. I run around practicing the double-shot in my "warm-up" match. But I never use in a game unless I need to reload. WTF

10. LIVING IN THE STICKS AND NOT BEING ABLE TO GET DSL!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to Keep Faith

Well as you all know, my car blew up. Last Sunday when I was going to work, I was trying to pass a elderly couple out for a Sunday drive. Well the man thought he saw glass in the road, while I'm trying to pass him, his back cornerpanel hits my fender pushing me off into the ditch. How can you get mad and go off on a old man? I can't I could see that he truly didn't mean anything by it. So I told him no problem don't worry about it. Fast foward to Wednesday night......I was headed to my 2nd job after I got off from my 1st. Going down a country road at 11:05 at night corn 7 ft high on each side..............................(yeah you know what's going to happen). A full size deer runs frantically out of the corn on the lefthand side of the road, no problem, hit the brakes and turn to the left go around the deer everyone's fine right? NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE dead deer, dead front grille, blowed right headlight and a bent bumper, just enough damage NOT to turn it into the insurance company. And on a side note I'm still not smoking!!!!!!!! almost 9 weeks and all the shit going on and I'm not smoking!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feeling Sorry

Ya know, I was walking around the other day feeling sorry for myself. Ya know how it goes, I wished my car hadn't blowed up (that was a real bummer, just paid off the other one a week or 2 earlier)I wished I didn't have to work second shift, boy it'd be nice if I could quit my second job. It'd be nice to have high-speed internet at the house so I could knock back a couple of beers and play something live.

But I got thinking, I have 2 wonderful kids and a wife that no other could even touch. I have a nice place to live that will be mine in a couple of years, and some of the best friends anyone could as for. My friends are diverse, I went camping last weekend at a campground, and we took a couple of flat-tops and after about a hour of playing we had people edging closer to hear the music (by the way the music ranged from, Johnny Cash to George Jones to HInder). And then I have my boy Sandshark, I can go into work at Wal-Mart and he can tell if I need to laugh or if I'm in a good mood. Vicodin7point5 is one of my boys (if he ever gets online to play with us again hint hint). And I also have my "redneck" friends that I can call up to go fishing or hunting with.

So the next time you start to feel sorry for yourself, just remember what you have.

Alittle about me.....

I actually started playing music again, guitar to be exact. It's been years since I picked one up, but I started. I had a singer come to my house to see if I was interested in playing some music. I wasn't interested until I heard him sing, so here I am a week later with sore fingers (only 2 the ring finger and my pinky). It's amazing on how much you can forget not playing. But anyway I have to learn a couple of songs and here they are.
