Yo Gabba Gabba

I know this is a kids show but the art direction and people behind it are pretty awesome. Here is a list of some of the guests- The Shins, The Aggrolites, Cornelius, Biz Markie, Shiny Toy Guns, Supernova, Mark Mothersbaugh, Rahzel, The Postmarks, Sugarland, Tony Hawk, Laila Ali, Elijah Wood, The Aquabats, and Mýa.

Beware

Last saturday I went to try out for the new American Gladiators (yes thats right the show will be back in january) and here is my story.

It was a beautiful Sat. morning and my friend and I wake up early and head of to the famous Golds Gym in Venice Beach, CA, were the try outs are being held. The line doesn't start until 7 am so we show up at a quarter to 7 and find that we are the second people in line. We stand around and talk for a while and around 7:30 people start to show up. At around 9 am we are escorted to the try out area and are instructed on what it is that we will be doing, it was kind of like a mini obstacle course- as many over hand pull ups as you can do in 30 sec, 10 up and downs, karaoke ladder, and then we had to run 10 feet touch a cone then run back and touch another 5 times. After this I was exhausted. I did a quick interview and then had one more task, the 40 yard dash. As it turns out the 40 would be my down fall. I line up at the starting line and they yell "GO!". I take off running as fast as I can. About 20 yards in I can feel my upper body start to get ahead of myself and then it happens. My foot slips right out from under me and I go plowing right it to the asphalt at full speed. I pop back up finish the 40 and then look myself over. What I saw was gruesome.

The following pictures are what I looked like after I drove home and cleaned my wounds. They are not for the squeamish.

First Impressions on Call of Duty 4

Okay, so I have only been playing the beta for about 3 hours and these are my feeling so far.

Wow! The CoD4 Beta is awesome. I would say that its like a cross between Halo multiplayer and Rainbow 6 multiplayer. Some times the run and gun will work, but its better to be more tactical. The controls feel smooth an respond well. The weapons are awesome and the perk system is a cool new change to customize your solider. Over all the game is a 10.

I just don't know how I'm going to chose which game to play when both halo and CoD are out. Team fortress 2 comes out later this year and that looks like its shaping up to be a great game too. Choices, choices. I guess I'm going to Have to quit my job and just play multiplayer games full time.

Weird

Today I was looking at the top 25 bloggers of the month and for some reason my name is number 2. Weird, considering I haven't written a blog since April. So I guess I'll take this opportunity to write a blog.

This week I got to go to Siggraph, in San Diego, for work. I saw some amazing stuff. One of the coolest thing I saw was a live demo for a company my agency does PR for. They're called Organic Motion and they do real time markerless motion capture. I've never been in to mo cap before but what these guys are doing is awesome. Check them out www.organicmotion.com

New sig

So I've been getting more and more into posting in forums, and have noticed that people have some really cool sigs. I know there is lots of generous people out there that are more than willing to make me a really cool, one of a kind sig, but I wanted to make my own. I had been trowing around an idea in my head about what i wanted it to look like and tonight I finally put it all together.

So what do you guys think?

I just saw Blades of Glory last night and damn was it funny. Something I noticed in the movie that I never really knew was that DAMN Jenna Fisher is hot!! I mean I always thought she was cute but, damn.

So i guess Microsoft finally fessed up to what we already all knew... The "XBOX 360 Elite" has finally officaly been announced.

Wow what a suprise. Even though I already own a 360, I was think of getting a sweet new black one with the HDMI port and the new cooler running 65nm chipset. But alas the New "Elite" has the same hardware. The only thing new is the HDMI. I think I'll hold off until they put the new chipset in before I even think about getting somthing I already have. I mean... COME ON!!!!!!!!

So I pre-ordered Crackdown from Amazon.com, because they guaranteed me theHalo 3 beta invite, and when it comes to that I'm not messin' around. Then the demo forCrackdown comes out. I played it, and I liked it. So now I'm excited to play the game. Good thing it will be shipped to me as soon as it comes out.... right? Wrong!!!! I got an e-mail from Amazon.com today saying it had been shipped, and the estimated date for delivery was March 1st. WHAT THE HELL!!!!!?????? MARCH 1ST!!!!???????
