Hello Halo
I purchased Halo 2 for my XBox some time ago. I did not have the ability to play the on line version at that time, and quickly became board with the game. I coild not understand what all the hipe was about. Well now I have a 360 with Xbox live, and one of my co-workers has been after me to play the online game.
We set up a time to meet on line and he set up a game. One aggrivating thing about Halo 2 is ,you can not avoid the Timmies! So from the very first game I get these high pitched voices talking about getting there home work done, and other equally exciting subjects. I had no idea what was going on in the games other than running around and shooting everybody. People were shooting me in the head with a single shot while flying through air! I tried sneaking around a bit but was killed instantly.
I really don't think Halo is for me, I'm much more into more realistic war games, and can't wait for COD4 to come out. As for Halo 3, I may rent it just to give it a try , but I am not to excited about it. By the way "Gigatrix" has a blog entry along this same line, but with more detail if you would like to read it.

I never win anything, but.......
I guess I have entered the average number of drawings and contests that most people do. And I have never won a contest or drawing of any kind. So why is it that when I go to buy a video game, out of the thousands and thousands they produce, I get the one that dosen't load in my machine, the defective one? Amazing, however that's not so bad, it's the return process that gets me.
I had to exchange a game that I purchased at Wal-Mart. I walked in the door and was greeted by an older woman employee, who was standing near the long return line. I asked her if I could just go back to the electronics dept. and exchange the game. She said no that I would need to wait in the return line. Well Ok. I waited the ten minutes in the line, when it was my turn the clerk said just take the game back to the electronics dept. and exchange it. I have a freind who has a name for this type of thing he calls it " BOZOISIM IN AMERICA" I can't think of a better name for it!

Entertainment Center
Since we don't have kids at home anymore,we have decided to convert our third beroom into a video game room. Now that the flat panel LCD TV's have come down in price, I thought I would get a 32" for that room. Well we have a nice entertainment center that we wanted to use for the TV. However the opening for the TV in the entertainment center is 31 1/4" wide. Every 32" flat panel TV that I have looked at is at least 31 3/4" wide. Nuts they won't fit!
I can get a 27" flat panel, but the price is not that much less than a 32". My wife insists on using the entertainment center, and I have to agree it is perfect for all the gaming systems, and storage of games. I am trapped by my own Entertainment Center!! I know ther are bigger problems in the world than this............but not many.

TOMB RAIDER DAZE
I discovered the world of video gaming rather late in life. Our first system was a playstation. I bought it because, at that time I was racing 10th scale remote control cars, and wanted some racing games to play.
It wasn't long before my son said he had found a great game that I would really like called Tomb Raider. As I began to play Tomb Raider, my wife who normally had no interest in playing a video game, became fasinated by Laura, and all the things the character could do. Soon we had devised away we could play the game together. One person would have the controller while the other person would sit on the couch giving directions, go to the left, open that door, Shoot! Shoot!, ect. then we would trade. On week ends we played till the wee hours of the morning.
But the greatest night of all was the night that my wife was at the controlls sneaking very carefully down some passageway. Just as she rounded a corner a giant something leaped out at her. She went over backwards in her chair jerking the controller right out of the playstation! Fortunatly she was uninjured, but we still laugh about that night.
Since then we have played Knights of The Old Republic together, and we are looking forwar to MASS EFFECT. But those early days of Tomb Raider sure were fun!

Thanks for all the comments
Thanks to all that commented on my first post. I played , what I consider my first on-line game of RB6LV, last night with some of the guys from this site. I had a great time , and we played it the way it was ment to be played. Of course I think I picked the wrong gun, and had a hard time aiming, unless I was looking thru the scope. Having to do that can really get you killed fast. It was a lot of fun. Being a member of 2old2play has really paid off, i'm glad I found it! I'm looking forward to playing with the rest of you, as soon as I figure out how to keep this day job from getting in the way of with my liesure time!
