turkey day and friday

Mis made a huge Thanksgiving dinner at the new house, well the kids and I helped some but she kept kicking me out of the kitchen. which sucks cause i can cook like a mad man but she wanted to do it so...... i played halo

everyone came over. well mostly everyone. My brother and I have been kinda strained for a couple years now, so he didnt come but most of our friends and family came over it was a great time.

and now its friday morning. She left with her family to go shopping at 3:30 am. Fuck all that. but " thats the best deals" Whatever, Sleep in and find different deals. or do what i do. wait untill dec 24th.

Riley and i are hangin out today. we are probably going to go buy a tree and hang some more lights outside . Seems when i have the time to finish decorating outside none of the girls are ever around.

Decorating the house

i am a somewhat festive person around the holidays, I usually act more excited then i am for the kids. This being the first year in the new house i voluntarily started putting up lights outside so the house would be more festive and it is and the kids love it. Well in the front yard there is a 30 ft. Pine tree. I had no plans of decorating the damn tree it is 30 feet tall. I just got home and the girls ( Mis, Kenzie, and Charlee) Informed me that they feel it woul;d be a great idea to decorate the Tree. They think it will look really pretty.

I should have just kept my mouth shut at this point and said ok. here;s the conversation

Me " ok and who is going to decorate the 30ft. tree?"

Answer " well duh Dad you are we already bought the lights and everything for it"

Me " Well it's really cold and raining today, i will work on it tomorrow and Wed"

Answer " but Dad, we really wanna see the lights on it tonight"

Me" OK if you want to do it today then you 2 ( daughters) are going to come out and help me"

Answer " well...........maybe instead of me and Charlee helping, maybe Riley ( my son) could help you and then it could get done today"

Me" No ..... this was your idea, you girls will help"

Answer " well tomorrow and Wed will be ok"

Me " thats what i figured"

SO, Now i get to Decorate the damn tree. i have to admit it probably will look nice, But damn i really didnt want to.

My kids and the holidays

every year the holidays come up i dread it terribly. MY X feels her family stuff is more important and i just want to see my kids for a little while on Christmas. So it usually ends up an argument, where i eventually get my way and get them for a couple hours at least. I hate arguing about it because it puts them in the middle of our shit. And under normal circumstances my x and i get along very well. Normally talk everyday about the kids, we are better friends now then we ever were together. Which is important to me because 1. we have kids together and 2. we live 3 blocks from each other in a very small town.

So this year i am trying to do my stuff early with going to my moms house and my dad's house in the days prior to Christmas to try and relive some stress on them, so maybe they can enjoy christmas instead of running around. My X will probably take them to upwards of 6 or 7 different houses on christmas. Thats nuts. Luckily last year Christmas fell on my weekend to have them so it wasnt a big argument about it, they were with me in the morning and with her all afternoon untill about 9 pm then came back home. Which i thought was a good idea, And i was apparently wrong in her eyes,

So hopefully this year things will be a little bit easier and less arguing, If i dont see them untill the 26th i can live with that, Anymore the holidays are for them and i would rather them smile and have fun with families from both sides over a couple days then try to pack it in 1 day and argue and bicker with my x for weeks on end cause we were 5 mins late meeting her or whatever.

Thanksgiving i just gave up on,not worth the arguments, if i see them great if not i get them back on Friday anyway so it's no biggie.

its been a while.... a new update or 2

alot has been going on....

new job is great. something new. the hours are great. and the people i work with couldnt be more enjoyable. The more time i have at home is awesome. the kids and i played 4 player castle crashers which is awesome!!!!!!!!!! i had to get a new xbox. My other was yet again a victim to the rrod so i got the core system and am going to send this one in. Probably pass it down to my kids when i get it back.

the house is finally done for the winter, but i am making a list for the spring time to work on the outside. We have a woods behind the house i am going to clear out in the spring. Going to cut down 10 trees and clear the brush so we will be able to use it when the weather gets nice again. Camp out with the kids in the back yard.

I want a dog. 1 because i love dogs and ever since i have lived on my own have generally had 1, But i also want a dog for security. We live in a small town but still. i want a dog here for my wife and kids. I have done and been taught the same training that police dogs go through so whateer dog i get will be well trained. i am looking at, german shepards, rotties, and golden retrievers. i am leaning more towards a golden because they are more of a family dog. Yes germans and rots are good dogs but they become attached to one person and a golden is more of a family dog.

neks and i have been looking for 2 people to play in gamebattles and MLG 09 season for an event or 2. we have alot of prospects and hopefully we will get a solid 4 in the next coming weeks. i am ready to get back to the militant side of halo, the break has been nice but i am ready to hit it again. i am the type of player that will play any game type with anyone but the best part of halo for me is the down and dirty comp play............ 49 - 49 or 4 caps to 4 caps with both flags out ready to cap....... its a grwat drenaline rush and plaing at an event is even that more exciting. last years placings at meadows was ok and orlando was a disappointment. but we know the follies and now its time to do what we know we can do. we have played pros and semi pros, won and lost games. We have a good base of teams to scrim to get ready. i have met in the last couple weeks alot of great players and teams. teams and players on the circuit now that or more then willing to scrim us. so hopfully things will go better and if they dont, o well, at the end of the day we are still the same people. some people look at it like a waste of time, i look at it like the road less traveled. There are plent of gamers out there 25 and older that probably could compete if they tried, but they just dont want to put the time into learning a new game like that......................... or they view it as a " young mans" sport. lol

I got gears 2, love the campaign i am slowly making it through insane by myself, and i mean slowly. G1 campaign really was great and G2 is even better cant wait for the thrid. I can almost say campign for gears is better then halo's camapign in terms of gameplay. both stories are great. I love horde mode and the MP is a great relaxing break from halo. the only real complaint i have about MP in G2 is the Chainsaw magnet. IMO if you shotty a rev'd chainsaw the chainsaw should drop....... shotty should beat Chainsaw not the other way around but no game is perfect halo has it's faults i generally dont dwell on them. but MP is enjoyableand i have played with some guys and gals from 2o2p i havent seen in a long time, and its been ncie to reconnect with them.

beyond that i have been working out and have made promise to my kids to quit smoking on Jan 1, and when it comes to them i dont break promises.

The Fish

ok so a couple weeks back our town had a festival called Levi Coffin days. It's a big town festival with small vendors lining he streets and small carnival games etc... So the kids wanted to play the game where you throw a ping pong ball at small fish bowls and if it lands in one you get a fish. Well Thankfully they won on the first try ( thankfully is being used sarcastically because well, it's a damn goldfish and thankful because if they didnt win the first time it would have been a i wanna do it and do it till we win, all the parents reading this should get what i am saying)]

So i went out and got a bowl and food. Which for the free fish we won at the fair is no longer free because if he dies now i am stuck getting another one, but The weird thing is, i think the fish thinks it's a dog. Anytime anyone comes into the kitchen he swims up to the bowl and stares at you then runs around his bowl and comes back. if you walk away or to a different part of the kitchen the fish follows. It's really a funny site to see. it seems he is happy to see you just like a dog.

Another note............... i have started my new job..... only working 40 hours a week is weird after working almost 70hrs a week for so long. and today is the first Saturday ididnt have to work in over 2 years. but it's good. i have started working out again and next week i meet with the local branches for IU and Purdue Universities in town so i can start school in the spring . Kinda nervous about that, havent been in a school setting for a long time but should be ok

a bit more info

ok So the house is great we have a huge back yard and 1/2 of it is dense woods. Next spring, (probably early marchish before everything turns green again) i am going to thin the trees out and build my fire pit and about 1,000,000 other projects i am finding to do next spring and summer. I am looking forward to it and i will be able to get the kids involved in alot of it so they will really enjoy it also.

My old Team CBTS (Calm before the Storm) is concerned with going to the Meadowlands event. After some long talks with Baron and the Mrs and neks it seemed to be the obvious choice for me to step down from the team. Neks and i have teamed together for a long time now and i gotta say i am most comfortable playing halo with him on my team. he and i work well together and can play a 2 v 2 with minimal communication because we know what the other will do. So Baron picked up our 2 former teamates We played with in Meadowlands this year, and Neks and i are forming a new team. we will probably go to 2 of the events next year. so as i look for/find 2 more team mates we will be hitting the bricks hard and getting our strats and game play down.

Other then that I am getting a new job about the same pay but only 40 hours a week instead of 68 hours a week. And in doing so am going to go back to school and finish a degree, or start a new one. I seem to collect unfinished degree programs . but the time is right and mentally i am more prepared then ever before.

Lots of news

Where to start:

Well i guess i will start in the days after MLG Orlando. ( side note:Orlando was a blast was cool to hang with Neks and others again)

so we get back and a house that Mis and i had looked at dropped in price. It is a bank forclosure but the bank was asking wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy tooo much with the work that needed done. so we made and offer. long story short we got the house and finally have moved in 60 days later.

I am going back to school. time to finish one of the degrees i started.

i am forming a new MLG team with Neks.

I am getting a new job.

thats about it. i have never been one to type alot so i know it's short

Almost time

well last night was our last practice and me and the Mrs. are leaving tonight for Orlando. So i guess we will see what happens. Someone will post somewhere about what we are doing i am sure

On a side note we picked up Mrs. F1R3 as our coach. Last minute because our other coach cant make it. she knows all the call outs, setups, and weapon spawn times which will help alot.

WTF?!!???!!!!!?!

ok nothing MLG

My Companies phone system is through AT&T. Well we have had a problem with 2 phones so Tuesday i called at 8 am for a service tech to come out the nice lady on the phone said that she would even have him bring 2 new phones just in case. All day No Tech. So i call today at 10:30 am. they tell me that they have untill 3 pm for the guy to come stated by our contract and work order. Fine whatever. So at 3:45 Still no tech So i call yet again.

Not to get off course but the bullshit line his guy came up with has really still got me laughing, i hung up the phone with the guy Laughing my ass off

ok So 3:45 i call. guy answers i give him all the info etc etc i Say it is 3:45 pm and still no tech. His answer " well yea your tech isnt supposed to be there for another 15 mins we schedule everything Central STandard Time we are in Wisconsin" My next question even though my business is in the Eastern time Zone you employees here run on Central Time?" Answer " yes sir" I couldnt stop laughing for 20 mins.

Maybe you dont find it hilarious like i do and maybe you had to be there but god it was funny
