Gaming room done!

Alright as I promised before here are the pictures of my Gaming room now that the setup is complete:

I sit in the one on the left, I'm a lot taller than my sister's boyfriend. As you can tell racing games are my favorite, but the chairs are pretty comfortable no matter what type of game I'm playing.

The Monitors I went with are 22 inch Samsungs. After wall mounting them they swing out over the front of each racing rig. It's like sitting in front of a big screen TV.

Each 360 also has a set of Trittons hooked up but I put some PC speakers on the shelf for the times when we are playing a multiplayer game on just one 360. I just swing one of the monitors out into the middle then.

I went with the open air shelving because we all know the 360's need to breathe ;) The only real drawback is getting in and out of the seat. I've already busted my ass once getting out on account of the slippery floor. Not sure if it was because I was wearing socks or because of this thing:

Again no new paintings, but I promise I'll post some as soon as I can tear myself away from Forza...

No paintings today :(

So I already missed my self imposed deadline of new paintings every friday. What can I say, I'm a slacker. It has been a busy week at work though being the end of the month a lot of things have to be done before I leave in a few hours. That plus playing BioShock ate into my usual spare time. I'll defintely get some time this weekend though. That is after I get my new racing chairs set up, they arrived yesterday

Gaming room is a go!

Hell yeah, I feel like a little kid again .

I live in a household with three adults and two children. There's my sister and her daughter, and her boyfriend who has a daughter of his own. They have been together since the girls were less than a year old (they are 8 & 9 now) and I've been there for almost 3 years now. While I'm perfectly capable of living on my own they need my help with the girls and I like being around family. There are some drawbacks to this situation though. The biggest one for me is that the only space I can dedicate for gaming also happens to be were I work when I'm at home. This can be counter productive for obvious reasons (who would work when the 360 is right there next to the computer).

We have 2 360's, one in the living room and one at my desk. My Sister told me a few months ago that she wanted to sell the furniture in the unused sitting room. She told me when she sold it she was going to let me turn it into a game room. I dismissed it, and told her I'd believe it when the room was empty.

Sunday afternoon a guy came and picked up the couch, love seat, recliner and all the tables that were in there.

15 minutes later an order was placed for 2 Playseat Evolutions and 2 sets of Trittons (Forza2 LAN Racing FTW!). She picked up the tab with the money she made selling the furniture. Nice.

I still need to get 2 displays to mount on the walls and haven't decided on the size yet. I've already got a 19 inch widescreen monitor to test out. It may be too small though. I may end up getting 2 26 inch displays to go in there. Wally World has a few for under $500 each that would work nicely for this.

Once I'm done with it all I'll take some pictures for all to see.

So I'm drunk...

After a few glasses of Crown Royal I have an idea.  Why not have you decide what I draw next!

Here's the idea.  You give me a topic, I either snag photos off the net or take my own then use them to paint something new.  It would help motivate me (which is the biggest obsticle for me).

What do you think, any interest the idea?

Everybody works for the weekend...

So it is Saturday and I have the house to myself. Should go cut the grass or sit around in my pajamas drinking coffee, playing videogames and surfing the net? So far the coffee is winning.

I like to take pictures to use for reference when painting (but my camera isn't very good)
