FPS - my take

If you haven't read J-Cat's blog from 6-24, you should take the plunge.  She brings up some interesting points about FPS games and how it is becoming harder for newer games to get into the action.   There was just one thing I wanted to add.   (Yes, when I'm playing XBL I'm a total couch potato) Why don't they make an add-on multiple disc player.  If I could load up several games in a multiple DVD drive and just sit back effortlessly switching from game to game, well I'd be in heaven.  Just think what clan nights would be like with people playing in groups, in several different games.  Jumping from game to game and always having clan members to play with. Or clan matches and ladders that move through several games.

Yes, I actually do this now,  it's called demos.  But for the real thing we need to be able to switch between the full versions.

Watching Paint Dry

Yes,  this is about all I've gotten done this week.   Allergies have been screwing with my COD4 game time. 

I spent today telling anyone who would listen that I only have 11 days left til retirement, ,  after which I gave them the double bird.    

Yea, I know, I'm not old enough, blah-blah-blah.  I did my 30 years and I'm getting out.

Besides, I moving to Texas with Redneck, TexasDave and Twister.

I alway wanted to be trailer trash, and now's my chance.

Actually, I'm expecting I'll be offline for a while when it happens, but I'll worry about that later.

I've finally gotten to level 55 in COD4, and I've played regularly for almost two months.  If it wasn't for the clan I wouldn't be half this far since it's the match points that drive my rank up, not my ability.  We were playing a game of hardcore the other day and I was doing so bad, and dying so often, I finally just went to the back of the ship on Wetworks and hid.  I do this sometimes when I see the score going against the team and realize the only reason were losing is because I've died 15 or 20 times.  I use to try and snipe but the other team usually finds me, so I just hang out on the back of the map for awhile.  Of course I've noticed when I do this everyone starts spawning around me, so I run out and get killed again.

Where do you people find the time to do all these posts???  I can't keep up with reading everything, let alone posting, blogging etc, etc, etc. 

Yes, you guessed it.   My blogs will be short.

I'll start by saying thanks to all of you who devote your time and energy to running this site.  I can't imagine how many hours go into keeping it running. 

Plus the clans have made playing somuch more enjoyable. 

So much for the boring stuff,  in my next entry,  "Watching Paint Dry"  a guide for the common man.
