I hate being sick...

I'm finally getting over a summer cold that I caught last weekend from sleeping at my parents house.  The AC never seemed to get upstairs a day in my life and then suddenly, I was sleeping in a freezer.  Don't know what the deal was, but I felt the cold coming on starting on Sunday and it kicked in on Monday and I finally feel better.  I've got energy today....well, as much as a fat guy that doesn't exercise can have.  I sound much worse than I feel. 

On to other stuff, today is what would have been my grandfathers birthday.  He would have been 105 today.  I'll tell ya what, the end of June and July are all bad months for death in my family. 

I'm going to have a busy August.  Figured out I'm gonna be gone almost more than I'm home.  Here's my schedule.  I will be in Springfield, MO the 2nd.  Dallas the 3rd - 8th.  Springfield again on the 9th.  Back home on the 10th till sometime on the 15th.  (here's my official hidden announcement, I will be at the Lan)  In Chicago the 15th - 17th.  Then, I leave the 24th to go to ND and will be back the 30th. 

So that's about it, I will get back to my presidential campaign shortly.  July has been a busy month and August will be too.  Hope everyone is doing good!

North Dakota....here i come!

Looks like I'll be in Fargo, ND for a week starting the 25th of August.  If anyone lives up there and wants to meet up for beers or something, let me know!

Springfield, MO and Dallas

I will be in Springfield MO the first saturday and 2nd saturday of August and in Dallas for the week in between.  If anyone is interested in getting drunk in those towns during that time, let me know!

I'm going to be in Dallas....

I'm going to be in the Dallas area the first week of August for training.  I will be driving down there so if you are between Rockford, IL and Dallas, I will be staying somewhere in between that Saturday night.  If anyone wants to hook up while I'm there, let me know!

Made it through....

Well, we all made it through the funeral without too many tears.  I saw a ton of people that I didn't have a clue who they were and some old family that hasn't kept in touch.  I'm fine but we'll see how my mother holds up over the next couple days.  Thanks for all your support through this.......hopefully my next blog will be about something better than what I've endured the past few weeks.
