Hell?

Found this posting and thought I would share, even though I dont believe in "hell". ;-)

Hope some folks here enjoy the humor in my posting it tho! (if not at least laugh that

I cant figure out how to center or preview, etc. my blog posts-lol)

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid term.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle's Law (gas cools when it expands

and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at

which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely

assume that once a soul gets to Hell , it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how

many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since

there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion,

we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the

number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume

in Hell because Boyle's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the

same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature

and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and

pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, "It will be a cold day in

Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number

two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary

of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is

therefore, extinct..... Leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why,

last night, Teresa kept shouting "Oh my God."

Update

Well, pretty much good news on most levels-imo. First off my little

girls seem to be unaware of their Mothers apparent suicide

attempt (she still wont directly say thats what happened), which is

good. They wouldnt understand this and no reason for them to

know at this time. My X and her new spouse have beem in marriage

counciling for a few months and not going well. After this episode

she has been in a different type of counciling/therapy which revieled

a LOT!

At this point the diagnosis is they are going to treat 3 different problems,

she has OCD-obsesive compulsive disorder, ADD/ADHD attention defecit

disorder/attention defecit hyperactivity disorder and PTSD post traumatic

syndrome disorder. The first 2 they are already treating with Valium and Paxil

which she told me today are working well. Next month they will start her on

another medication for the PTSD and see how they interact together. Hopefully

this will keep her in check and more stable, I feel bad for her and how this has

affected her present relationship but I'm optomistic about the future for them.

I always knew she was a great person even though her past was pretty rough, I

thought most of it was behind her and admired her for overcoming it(I thought).

Thats where the PTSD gets recognized, she was molested at age 11 by her Uncle

that then went and raped her Grandmother-stabbed her 7 times and left her for dead.

The Grandmother survived(mostly) the Uncle went to jail but was released about

3 years ago, that really sucks! At the same age 11 she was introduced by her parents

to cocaine which she dabbled with until about 18/19-you can actually see some

under her nose in her senior picture.

She has always had my full support and still does, she's really a great Mother and very

protective. I will step in though if any of her conditions cause an unfit situation for my girls.

On the brighter side, our 20 year old Kindra is getting married Nov. 15th, she's a very happy girl!

Beyond Stupidity

Sunday 4pm I call my oldest son to check about our tenative dinner plans.

Say Kyle are we on for dinner? Sorry Dad I'm at work, I got called in. Oh thats

ok bud, just checking as its about time to bring the girls home-thought

we might go from there. Oh, uhhhh Moms not home, she "swallowed a bunch

of pills" and is in the hospital. Hmmmm I will keep the girls and check with your

big Sister to see whats up. Ya WTF is up???????? Of course I kept the girls for

another overniter which is totally cool with me and got them up early to take them

across town to school. Just told the girls their Mother was "sick" and they were concerned

but ok, dont think 6year olds need this reality check. After talking with my Daughter (20 in 2 days)

the story she is getting is her Mother took a bunch of tylenol pm, not sure what "a bunch is"

but would seem like a retarded amount to land in the hospital. this shit better get sorted out

or theres gonna be one helluva custody fight for my girls. I cant even think now I'm so pissed.

A Necessary Evil???

Certainly I'm not the only one on the site that really dislikes Walmart (hate is a strong word but may apply).

This does raise questions for myself, like why? Price, no-they usually have some of the best prices on items.

Convieniece, no-damn theres a Super Walmart 4 blocks from my house, that rules out selection being a problem too.

Employees? Well you have to be careful to not offend people here, I'm sure most have a relative in some form that

works or has worked there (and likes it). I didnt know any until Darth_Chibius took the job as the wardrobe and hygeine

director for the greeters. Bravo Darth, much improved! I really havent had any employee problems, other than trying to

find one when you need to get a popular item thats not displayed other than 12 feet high on a shelf. Whats up wit dat?

Man their return policy is very liberal, pretty much dont need a reciept to return most items. They do have really crappy

gaming acc. and supply area, definately points deducted there, eh?

It seems odd but I will drive miles out of my way and usually pay more money to avoid going there.........strange.

Maybe others can give their reasons but I think the #1 reason I dont like Walmart is: Checkout. After following the male

ritual of wandering aimlessly around their store, covering much of the same ground far to many times and being there

15-45 minutes longer than you thought it would take-you approach: THE CHECKOUT LINE. Yes this is the part that urks

me, 50 freaking check stations- and 5 are open! You people are retards!!!!!!!!! I guess having the largest profit turned of

any company last year (or some statistic like that), profits are met by conservative labor application. *sigh*

Why must you ride your high seated bike around town? Will not a normal bike do? Are you looking for attention? Did your parents not hold you enough as a baby? Perhaps you want to join the circus.

Guy seated on a really high bike. What moves you so to ride perched so high in the sky? Is it you wanting to look down in disdain at the people below? And how do you seat yourself on such a high mount? Need you a ladder? A jetpack? What happens when you stop?

I despise you on-a-high-seated-bike man. You attention-seeking cyclist. You do not amuse me. You do not amaze me. I am not fascinated by your high bike. I ignore you.

If I had a stick, I would stick it in your spokes. Oh, then how you would fly -- an Icarus on wheels, traveling too close to the sun. And what glee would shine upon me, when I witnessed you tumbling down to the Earth below.

I recommend down scaling a bit Bro.

Nightmare on the X's Street

Ok blogs are more personal than forums,right? Ok, well heres some personal crap that reflects my easygoing, softhearted foolish demeanor.......your welcome turn back cuz I dont know how BIG this thing might get! lol

If you continue on you will probably want to slide your golf cleets on and shoe me in the sack(several times). This blog is a small recap of the last 24 hours events(and then some) that I can vent (cuz its my blog) and probably look back on several times down da road.

Things just hit me driving back from my X's after attempting to repair the frozen pipes at her house. Well when your teenage son (stepson but like my own) leaves the garage open overnite the water softner pipes tend to freeze.

Thats what I assumed so headed out there with some $38 pipe wrap heater stuff and a small electric heater to unthaw as I worked on it. Ya it worked and showed there is a split shutoff as itstarted to unthaw, so we unburied the meter and shut the water off.

I recommended a plumber to be called for several reasons: 1) its an inconvenience for me to drive another 70mi round trip. 2) Its plasticpipe with brass shutoffs and copper blended in,all with frozen water in them( and I dont know what the hell I'm doin) 3) when we were dating but broken up I replaced a throttle cable on her vehicle and it quitrunning that weekend, she called me to come tow her cuz I screwed it up! (drove 30 mi there, outa gas) So if it leaked a drop or anything, guess what - ya my fault.

And of course she doesnt have the money for a plumber and she is going to contact the Bishop at the Church to see if they can help (but of course she would like me to help pay).

Well this is where I backup.......6 weeks ago she told me she was done with dating for at least a year, focusing on the Family and finishing her real estate liscense (working on it for 3 yrs) all she has to do is study and take the test.-She can do awesome at this type work,I know it! Ok yesterday she tells me she getting married on Feb. 4th-OUCH! Ok been together for 10 years, divorced since May and this is her 3rd serious relationship (that I know of) and she's getting married........OUCH-OUCH!

Wow I really feel good about myself! It will be a good thing though, when I left (not my choice) everything was current financially. I let her have all the stuff she wanted and walked away.

She overestimated my income, asked for alimony and I agreed to all this plus I have been paying monthly for: 1) water softner(ironic I know) $46 2)life insurance $35 3) auto ins. for her and stepson $200 (17 yr olds are expensive) 4) plus $542 ea. month that is to help with child care and health ins. Besides all this there is usually something that comes up that I help with.

One month I sold a valve seat cutter setup, did some side work and gave her $700 cuza some financial woes. Hmmm.....next weekend she rondevoued with an old classmate in Vegas for some good times(male of course), I have several examples-not quite that extreme though. Since the divorce she let the health ins. lapse, let the home get 4 months behind and go into default (step before forclosure) and the child care get $1150 behind.

GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Gave the lady $200 yesterday towards it, now the X is likek well you can put the alimony towards that since you dont have to pay that once I'm married. So since I made a goodwill gesture financially and even though I already pay to help in this area........she wants me to keep on,eh?

Well her new flame has some dough it seems, he came through last Tues with money to save the home from the clenching jaws of foreclosure, he's going to hire her for one of his businesses(she can work from home, No day care!) and he has a nice home that the Family will move to (teens arent real thrilled) and not have to worry about the water or power being shut off again.(oh ya that happened too) So I'm trying to put things into a positive perspective, not real happy about so many events here

. The last 3 months have just beat me down. Its sucks when you give everything youve got,and your Family still struggles/suffers-it sucks. This will be better, and I will have about $900 more per month! WOOT! WOOT!

That will be nice, and the kids will be much closer to where I live. These are the things I'm holding onto, and the fact I have equity in the home that was allowed for at the divorce and will be reconfirmed in the realty quit claim crappola. It will be enough to start a small school fund for the girls and take care of some stuff.

Oh Yeah! The events over the last months just keep turnin in my head but........enough said.

Define Normal

How do we define normal? Certainly there are dictionary/textbook answers but thats not really the point.

What I guess I'm searching for is: am I normal? I'm certainly an average regular guy no suprises really (aka dull).

But I guess I'm reflecting on recent behavior, is it normal to check emails and post notifications 3-4 times a day?

I check in the morning, at lunch which I usually come home for (I live 1 block from work) when I get home and before I turn in.

Plus the 2-6 hours a day I usually spend gaming, seems a bit much.

A lot I'm sure is from the recent distance from my family (aka divorce) I miss them and my little girls terribly.

Yeah your right , lonely. Maybe a bit depressed I'm sure, there are certainly symptoms. But not that big a part I feel.

What I do feel is a constant desire to play Halo with my online friends, I'm addicted. In the off time to surf the site and not much else.

I do get to see my girls and most of the family each week and thats outside the gaming part, but sometimes I wonder if that is even my # 1 priority

I even get down on myself about the gaming part as much as I enjoy it it makes me wish that it could be that niche you've been looking for.

That one thing that you are really going to be a natural at, Not! After all I put into it for the last 5 months I'm painfully average at best, Deee Nieeed!

Oh well I cant imagine not being involved in some type of gaming since my involvement the last few months, some great times with great folks.

Yes even darth_chibius j/k. So if you made it this far through my ramblings, Thanks-find some caffiene saturated product to help restimulate ya.

Timmies Do Ya Miss Um?

Just an observation from today, uhmmm ok so were having some great games w/clan members and friends, alright. Nothing unusual, then someones singing and talking about penises, ya know I guess there are some penis songs but I dont recall wanting to listen too them. Nor did we listen to the 13 year old and the 17 year old for very long. WOW how quikly the whole lobby changes because of 1 person, we did have a new site member bring his 2 eleven year old boys to game with us, great. However they didnt have communicators but I suspect they would have been fine with parental control nearby and it worked out great Daddio bringing in his boys filled some needed spots-Thanks. Nothing anyone hasnt deal with as part of matchmaking, just makes me embrace 2o2p site, my clan, and my Awesome friends list that much tighter!
