Nick Fury Returns!!!

I think Marvel has done a great job of bring back Nick Fury with the Skrull invasion storyline. Its made it clear how pivotal a character he is in that universe. Maybe not the kind of character to carry his own book but Nick Fury and shield have touched almost ever hero and every Marvel book at one time or another. I for one have missed his being around and am pumped to see him back.

After the new sketch I have posted up a funny Marvel vs DC funny you tubie! Dont miss it its a great one.

I've been a fan since we served together in the Howlin' Commandos.
Back then me and Dum Dum Dugan would always bust his balls about the eye patch.
"What ya got under there? How come it keeps changin' eyes?"
We'd have a big laugh and he'd get all red and pissed.
Eventually he transferred me to SHIELD's arctic station,so I guess he got the last laugh.
Strange,though......I think he's changed and I can't quite put my finger on it.......

Oh yeah,he's not caucasian anymore.I don't know HOW he pulled it off,but he looks kinda like that guy in "Pulp Fiction"
Not the sweathog,the B.A.M.F. guy.

Gatsu - Thanks dude, glad you like. I wasn't a big Nick Fury fan either but I really like how they are tying him into the Skrull story line.

RhyoOhki - Yeah Nick had a S.H.I.E.L.D book in the late 60's early 70's. Some outstanding and trend setting art in those books by a comic classic named Jim Steranko. Great books worth looking up and getting in their recent collected format.

Dman your a riot!! I didn't now you used to be a howling commando! the Nick your referring to is the "Ultimates" version of Nick Fury. He is based on Samual Jackson who was the B.A.M.F. guy in Pulp fiction. The Ultimates is a ulternate universe reimagining of the Marvel world and its characters. All the same characters and powers just more updated origions and story lines. A little more edgy and real life like. Hence why they are using that version of Nick Fury in the movies, i.e. Iron Man. - BAT

Thanks Caesar! yeah I hear ya D, WTF with no editing of comments on these blogs anyway?? I wish I could delete that double post. Or for that matter fix stuff when I comment and miss spell or say something completely stupid...which I have a habit of doing. - BAT

That's awesome, dude. Love the attention to detail you put into all the belts/straps/pouches, crazy. I really like how Marvel has been taking these "B-list" (imo) heroes like Fury, Iron Fist, fucking Rocket Raccoon and Nova and turning them into genuine badasses and damn good comics.

I hear ya Beefy, and whole heartedly agree. Some of the best stuff coming out of Marvel is the second tear heroes. I love freaking Rocket Raccoon!! He is awesome! Also glad your digging the detail on Nick's outfit. I get hung up on all that shit probably to a fault. But thanks for noticing. - BAT
