Very nice, BAT! I love that first one. The second is beautifully drawn but maybe the choice of reference doesn't fit the context, only in that it looks to me like an underwear model with GL rings drawn on (she's clothed but still covering her breasts while posing). But I really like the power earring, very original idea. I'd like to see her fighting crime with her ear lobes.

So.. if these are quickie.s how long does it take you do do a quickie and then a full drawing?

Hey Beef i appreciate the crits. I agree with you entirely. The second was done more for my own fancy and as an exercise in developing the look of this character and what her costume would look like. There where actually 2 more sketches to this series I didn't post em. The reference wasn't an underwear add but it was from an artistic nude and isn't a good choice for a comic book pose for sure. Glad you like the power earring, I thought that would be cool. I was trying to think of ways to handle the power rings and the logo on the character in different ways. - BAT

On your timing question, it all depends on the piece. These took probably 30-60 minutes each. I will be doing a tight pencil of the first one and I would expect that to take me 2-3 hours. Than if I ink it add another 2 hours and color another 3-5 hours depending on what style I choose, painterly or flat comic book color etc. Hope that answers your questions. - BAT
