Nothin’ Like Fresh Coffee

There is nothing finer that sleeping in till about 10 am and getting up for a leisurely cup of coffee. Now I have to say that I am a horrible klutz. Now you might say to yourself, what does that have to do with coffee? Well if you also are a klutz who loves coffee you might know where I am going with this. I have broken more coffee carafes than I probably care to admit to.

The latest lasted about six month after its initial damage. I smacked it into the faucet when I was cleaning it. It cracked and made a tiny hole in the side near the top. So, if I was real careful not to put too much water in the pot, I could still have fresh coffee and not have to bother going out to shop for a new one. Which worked to my advantage for about six months. Until of course I smacked it into the faucet again.

So now I really did have to go shopping for a new coffee pot. There should be trail periods for coffee pots. You know, so you can get a try it out for a week or so. I hate getting home with a new coffee pot and figuring out I can’t figure out how to program it right. The problem is, I don’t figure out that I programmed it wrong until the time the program is supposed to go off.

Anyway. I did go get a new coffee pot. It is easy to program and (insert drum roll here) it has …an…aluminum carafe. I can not believe my luck. It is easy to program and is almost impossible for me to break it. Two things that make a really good cup of coffee!! The other of course being the beans.

I am also a clumsy coffee fanatic, we intentionally picked a coffee pot with the option of an aluminum carafe...so when we break the glass one we can buy an indestructable one....I give 2 thumbs up for the Cuisinart Grind and brew...even though it can be a pain to clean.
