Funeral Procession Etiquette
1. Never pass a funeral procession
2. The funeral procession has the right of way at all intersections
3. Never pull out into the middle of a funeral procession
4. If a procession is headed your direction, pull over and wait until they have gone by.
The exception to the above rules would be if you are traveling on a divided highway or interstate. Or if a police officer directs you to do otherwise. Not all these "rules" are laws, though some are in some states. The "rules" are more or less ways in which we can show our respect for those who have passed and those who are grieving. Even the largest processions never really take more then 60 seconds to pass so there's no reason you can't take 60 seconds out of your "busy" day for a little courtesy and respect. Apparently, the drivers of Ohio aren't familiar with the above etiquette.
That is all.

In HS our practice field was rightn next to a main highway. When a funeral would pass we'd take off our helmets and take a knee until they passed.
On my honeymoon I was driving and some how a funeral procession merged into our lane from an onramp or something they came from no where no cars pulled over just all of asudden they're trying to merge with moving traffic from somewhere. Dude just about sideswipes me and honks like it was my fault almost causing a wreck(busy highway). I got my 4month pregant wife with me, I flipped him off & pretty sure he could read my lips by the look on his face. & I dont feel bad about it.

You know the ones, No respect. Their time is more important than a funeral prossesion.
Get pissed cuz they have to wait a minute or two.
They start honking cuz they think a whole line of cars are running a red light at the same time. Even with a police escort.
Morons....Need a good ass kickin.
(IMO of course)

I agree though, a few seconds to let them pass it not a lot to ask.

Respect at an intersection though, heck yeah. Let 'em pass through the intersection without getting pissy.
