Holy shit, for a guy that's never heard your podcast we totally had the exact same phrases in a few places. That's insane.

I love how you point out how we copied you when we've never listened to it. Maybe we should so we don't stomp on each other.

I was told I had to listen to timecode 41:00 so I could hear you guys making fun of us! lol. Good job. Well played.

Now, can you stop encoding your podcast in joint stereo, your wasting my bandwidth on microphones that only have one channel to record :-)

I was told by one of your listeners that I should listen to episode 5, from 41 minutes in.

This is the 1st time I have listened to this cast... After I got by the audio quality issues, I listened and here are my comments:

1. Content - Witty banter or drunken rambling... Sometimes people want both. We mix witty banter with a shitton of news.

2. Hank Kingsley - Yes, it is a homage to HK. Howard Stern will sometimes start his radio show with the same homage. Larry Sanders was awesome.

3. Faces to names - This is a common expression. It has been used many, many times both verbally and on the site. I say it every year. 4. Better than nothing - I'm pretty sure this is a common expression in the USA

5. fucking kids - I admit, I stole that from Bubba... He loves to fuck kids.

6. codemonkeys segues - ummm... some are better than others

Dsmooth, my transitions are supposed to be fucked up. Sometimes you throw in a few real ones just to screw with people, I do it on all my podcasts (drinking, gaming, doesn't matter which, you can always fuck up transitions on purpose)

Luckily, most of the trash talking was at you :-)

As for the news being "hardcore" and straight to the facts without sideline topics, completely on purpose. We want a 1 hour news podcast, I know many folks who cannot stand listening to people ramble on for hours about seemingly useless things that don't involve any useful content.

Personally, I like a bit of both (as I'm a TWIT listener and nobody can go off on side topics like Leo Laporte's crew). But, I also like hardline facts like Buzz Out Loud for tech news.

When molding podcasts I try to be more like Buzz Out Loud just because it has a professional quality feel to it, but I respect those that take other avenues, otherwise everyone would be doing the same thing and that would be boring.
