What the hell would they be able to sue you for?

If you sign a non-compete when you left, they may have a case against you if you went to work for a competitor. Gotta read those forms they make you sign while they hold your last paycheck ransome

When i left an employeer a long time ago, i had to sign a non-compete that i wouldn't work in any financial sector for at least 1 year. That way everything i knew that could potentially share about my previous employeers actions would be out dated .

Hope it all works out ok for you.

It is pretty much what you signed Tank.
They think they can play halo, because they mentioned something about the "convenants"

12 months no workie for competitor or suplier or customer, is the one they are trying to get me for.
But the lawyer said that they don't have a chance.
It is just anoying to keep on receiving leters.

Non-compete agreements never hold up in court. Judges have this thing about companies reducing a person's ability to earn a living after departure, especially more so in this lagging economy.

That is bullshit. Fuck any system of law that allows a company to infringe on an individual's right to gainful employment.
