Well done young grasshoppa!

Andrew had his first soccer game today. Its a day I have been waiting for 6 1/2 years. (I'm a huge fan of the sport, I played from the time I was 5 until I was 16.) His teams name is "the Grasshoppers," and they have practice one night a week followed by a game the same night. It was fun to watch him "warm up" with his little friends, and to do his stretches. (His favorite is the quad stretch where you pull your foot up behind your butt while standing- which is good! Its an essential soccer stretch lol)
We are going to have to work with him on his cheerleading. Either that or buy him a pair of compression shorts for under his soccer shorts. (and to think that I once got told by a doctor that he was obese and needed weekly weight checks...)
I love the tongue. Lets hope he doesnt chomp it like he did last summer.
And the perfect ending to the evening, he scored a goal. Well done young grasshoppa!

Im uber excited for this season. Andrew had a great time, and I think it will help him burn some energy and hopefully get him addicted to sports. Because we all know the best way to keep teenage boys out of trouble is to keep them exhausted from sports lol (and even that isnt a full gauruntee)

I would definitely blame the cheerleading thing on Shakes...He has always seemed a little 50/50 to me...

Nice pictures. I am coaching my daughter's K4 soccer team. I have nine 4/5 year olds. I am very tired after practice.

Be sure to keep that picture of him pulling up his shorts for when he gets married.

My kid played one season and decided that he didn't like it. He does like to play basketball.

Balek, they are just tighty whities with red ribbing. He is just so white anyway that they blend in.
