Bloody Lips & Kittens

Credit to Perez Hilton for initially pointing this out.  I suppose that Blood Lips are all the rage now.  I wonder if people will start wearing their lipstick like that.  A little red dribble down one side.  Vampire is the new Alien.  I'm rambling... the reason for my rambling is below the pics.

I can haz kittehs? 

How about two?

The two kittens that lived with their mom in a bush on the corner have been almost accidentally killed by me, my husband and most of our neighbors for 4 weeks now.  They played in the road, they sat in the road. 

Well, yesterday they were squalling when I went to work.  Apparently Mom is in Kitteh Heaven.  I didn't pick them up, even though it saddened me, because my husband was pretty adament about no cats in the house.  Even when I said pretty please.

Well, he picked them up.  After his dinner with his grandfather, he said he just couldn't leave them out there.  My son was the Kitteh Whisperer....grabbed them through sweet talk and patience.  Todd said they walked right up to Ethan, where they had skitted away from Todd's attempts.

One is all black... creepy eyes - like the Nothing's eyes in The Never Ending Story.  We have dubbed him Cole (Coal) - little Gears reference.

The other is tiger striped, very active, pretty green eyes - I am pushing to call her Fenix.  Jury is still out on that one. 

My son wanted to call them Cat Fart and Cart Fat.  Goofy.  My daughter wants to name both of them after herself.  Sarah Cat 1 and Sarah Cat 2.

We don't know their age or condition - so they are sequestered in a crate for now.  Todd is taking them to the vet today.

I haven't owned a cat ever.  My parents had one - named Ophelia - huge Mainecoon (sp?) mix.  Gorgeous and haughty.  She lived a long time. 

Oh, and Chewy the dog is preggo.  She is so getting fixed when she pops those puppies.
