UPS

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, I can track my Xbox as it arrives at my house, only to find no one there to sign for it. I wish they would put an actual camera on the package so I could watch the guy ringing my doorbell while I am at work. I mean, who actually works during the day?

Why the crap can't I TELL them, hey I'm not gonna be home, just hold it at the dock and I'll come pick it up? You can't do shiggity shat until they've actually failed delivery one time.  Why? What's the difference if I tell them beforehand?

Thank goodness we are on a four-day work week right now so I can pick it up tomorrow and play ALL DAY.  The girlfriend has requested that I not get completely shitfaced while playing tomorrow night, but she's going to be at work so as far as I'm concerned, she forfeits her vote in the shitface poll. So look out tomorrow night, I will be prowling Xbox live and spewing forth a nonstop stream of yells, cuss words and 'who shot me?' until I pass out.

I basically have everything shipped to work now to avoid that shit

UPS is great, one time they threw a box from Amazon.com in my backyard and my dogs demolished it and ate the books inside. Amazon sent another box to replace it, I told them not to let UPS put it in the backyard and even called UPS and told them that. The dogs demolished the second box as well.

Since then I have shit shipped to my work too, but couldn't figure out how to do that with Xbox.com.

I always click on your blog when it is marked NSFW, and one day it will actually be and I'll be sorry.

Usually you can go to your local pickup center at the end of the day and pick your shit up. I've done that with both Fedex and USPS stuff that needs to be signed for. I wouldn't do it for UPS because the nearest UPS place is pretty far away.

That works with Fedex but every time I do it for UPS they say it's still out on the truck.

Groovy--the last one really was NSFW.

You can call the 1-800-UPS or whatever number and ask them to hold the package at the local UPS pickup center. You might have to wait until the next day, but you will be able to pick it up there.

They do have stickers that you can use to authorize the driver to leave a package unsigned for. The UPS driver that delivers to where I work give me some.

The sweet feel of getting a new system. I'm a sucker for opening the box. I get all excited just knowing soon it will be in my paws. It's new, nobodys touched it...well sota....and that new electronic smell, I sware I get a little high off it!....lol Then pulling all the stuffing out and just like a 'Jack in the Box' out comes my new toy. You can also call UPS and set the package delivery date to a future date and they'll hold it at the depot until that day for delivery, I just did it with my xbox.
