Incompetence Annoys Me

Incompetence, lack of ability.I'm on vacation, but my wife and I are bloggers, we make advertising dollars each day by writing reviews for casual games, alcohol products, video games, etc. So, even though we're on vacation for the week we've got to set aside a little time each day to write posts... one of the so called "beauties" of being in our condo up north here in the White Mountains of NH is having Internet access in our living quarters.

Last year, however, it was down for almost the entire week, making it hard to do anything. This year, we get up and it's dead from the moment we walk into the condo and continues to be offline. They have no idea why, the front desk is useless, saying "we're getting tons of calls on the Internet problem" so I called down to their engineers who don't seem to have a clue anything is wrong. I call the ISP directly and they say "we're investigating, should be back in 20-minutes or so."

It's been 24-hours and nothing. Now they took the internet box back when I came to swap it out for another one, saying "we're going to reverse the charge on your account for the access since it doesn't work" but looks at me like a retard when I say "well, I came to this condo with the full knowledge that I'd be abe to operate my business needs on the Internet when needed." Duh. You can't just say "oh well" as you've told everyone that you have Internet access.

I'd be willing to go down and take a look at it myself as I'm sure I could figure out the real reason it's offline before these morons could give me a straight answer. Not a single individual knows exactly why but they've all got different stories, none which jive with each other.

So, here I sit in the lobby where, mysteriously, they have Internet access. WTF.
