Buttons For Megan

There are probably some of you folks that only cruise the forums and never really hit up the homepage. So, I figured maybe you'd accidently click on my little bloggity blog and see this, so that I can tell you to please checkout the donation post for Buttons for Megan on the front page.

The concept is simple, and the idea was presented by Armada99, a fellow community member. He's taken it upon himself (time wise and money wise) to order up a bunch of little buttons to support JollyRoger and his family through their obstacles. Most, hopefully by now, have seen his blog posts and status updates on his daughter and her challenges with Mitochondrial Disease.

We're trying to raise awareness and some cash for JollyRoger and his family. I know that if it were me in the situations they're in I'd be nothing but joyful if a community came together to help me out. I look at it as saving up a little karma for my future ;-) Perhaps I'll be paid back if something were to happen to me or my family in the future and I'd sure hope I could get some support from my friends and family, no matter how remote.

If anything, I'd love for you to at least take a look at the article because...well, it took awhile to write and get prepared :-) We've got people with a great deal of talent and initiative here at 2old2play, some are artists, photographers, writers and some who just want to do a good thing for someone else. I'd like to think I fall into a few of the categories, so this was my chance.
