Hey everyone, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted in this blog. As you can see by the background and blog header, I am still stuck in Oblivion. I figured I would restart this thing with a little story about an incident this weekend.

 

On Saturday, I spent most of my day at a museum. After dinner and a long trip back home I was tired and fell asleep at about 9:30pm. Around 10:30pm I am awakened by the sound of people, so close it sounded as if they were in my house. My dog goes ballistic, of course, and my girl gets up pissed off. We start looking around and notice that they are having a party next door. Although my girl was pissed I blew it off as no big deal and went back to sleep. At around 11:30pm I am awakened again, this time by the sound of not only music blaring through my house but the sound of crowd noise; almost like there were 50 people downstairs in my living room. It was so loud it actually sounded like a crowded restaurant in my bedroom! My girl of course gets up ready to explode, looks out our guest bedroom window and sees at least 3 cars parked in my driveway. I was getting pissed.

 

Right before I call the cops it hits me; I’m turning into that old bastard next door that fucks up the party! I’ve always been the one at the party, never the one who stops it. I decided to leave them be and try to go back to sleep.

I may be getting older, but I’m not that guy yet!!!
