Last Gen Games... Actually Kinda Fun...

Last night the man had tha boys over for football draft: that was my cue to take Erica, play with her until bedtime then GTFO. Actually I didn't go anywhere, my husband offered to move the Xbox 360 upstairs out of the den to the bedroom, but I declined. For some reason moving it makes me nervous... like something is going to break. But we still have our PS2 upstairs, it's still functional so I got an old RPG that I was in the mood for and Viola! I had fun with some last gen gaming.

I played Star Ocean Till the End of Time. Great little game. I mean it's a fantastic game. It MAY be my fave out of the RPGs that I played on the PS2, and that is saying a whole bunch. Well... okay there is still Kingdom Hearts... but some people don't call that one an RPG. Looking back at SO:TTEOT it still holds up. Gameplay is solid, story was pretty good. Voice acting wasn't horrible. Graphics, not that bad. I mean it looks like an old game, but whatever.

So, what was the lateset last gen game you played?  If it's been a while, I totally recommend an "old skool game night". No on line play, just hook up and play something that either got you into gaming or kept that fire alive during the last generation of consoles, or on the PC.  So: it may be more star ocean for me tonight: we'll see!

To go back before online gaming, I have to go back 2 generations to the N64 and PS1. But recently I have played some Conker's Bad Fur Day. I played the remake to the Xbox 180, but the game is still freaking hilarious is a sophomoric and toilet humer kind of way. Which is right up my alley.

I played Resident Evil 4 for the Gamecube recently.

Oh, and I tore up some SNES games 2 weekends ago. Star Fox, SMB: All Stars, a handful of others.

I'm waiting for a power brick to come in for an Atari 7800 I just bought so I can play some old school crappy Pac-Man

Every once in a while I hook up my dreamcast and play a couple of my Japanese import wrestling games. And since I have one of the few PS one titles not compatible with PS2, which would be Tobal No. 1, I occasionally dig out my PS one.
