Blogging from Bothell

Hello from Washington State.  I've thought about posting an entry to my blog for a while now and sitting in my hotel seems to be as good a time as any to do it.  Especially since I can't play anything til I go home.

I'm out here til Thursday for work and some training.  Flew in Sunday (gotta love Alaska Air direct flights) getting in a good half hour early (can't beat that) and not a lot of turbulence.  Can only hope the return flight is as good.  Didn't do too much yesterday but try and stay awake until 10pm and drive around a bit.  Rental car is an unbelievably bright yellow Chevy Cobalt.  Check out the Chevy site if you want to see the color.  Those in 2old4tactics GS in Chromehounds...it's almost as bright as our last squad color if you can believe that!  Work week is so far so good.  Today had a meeting, did some work, and met some folks I work with.  My two day training starts tomorrow, hopefully I can fit in some regular work around it.  Heading home Thursday night on the red eye which always makes people cringe.  I look at it this way...whether I take the red eye or fly Fri morning I still lose all day Fri whether I'm sleeping or on a plane.  I choose sleeping...otherwise I hit Boston traffic at 5pm and on a Fri night who wants that?

So I'll end the blog with a little bit about me for those who don't know.

  • I'm 31, born and raised in Massachusetts.
  • I'm single...and looking
  • Work as a financial analyst.
  • Been playing video games since I was little, beginning with the Atari 2600.

Well better get to bed, need to be at work for a 7am meeting

What was your first game on the 2600? My first game I can ever remember playing was space invaders on the 2600.

Thanks Torn. Poonga, not sure what my first would've been, probably Combat since it came with it. My favorites though were Adventure and Haunted House.

Bothell?!? Did you see the sign, "Bothell—For a Day or a Lifetime"? I never noticed it until a couple guys I worked with were in town for training and mentioned it. Ever since then, it's seemed a little ominous…less so now that I no longer live and work there. ;-) I still lunch in Bothell a couple times a week, though. Next time you're in town for training, have your coworkers treat you to lunch at Pen Thai.

Hmmm… It seems to be lunch time. :-)
