Jedi's and Sith's FTW. If it weren't for them, Star Trek wins easily.

Posted by Go_Aachmed on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 1:52 pm EDT

I say whoever made that chart wins everything

Posted by MikeTheKnife on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 1:59 pm EDT

What Aachmed said. The Force is simply too strong for simple technology to overcome.

Wars!

Posted by KingDrewsky on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:02 pm EDT

star wars, with luke and vader teaming up, shit star trekies wouldnt even get into faser range. the force would whup some ass. go wars

Posted by millfire517 on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:04 pm EDT

You are forgetting the Star Trek guys that messed with Captain Pike's mind. They could make Vader think the star wars ships were the star trek ships. Also if the borg were somehow able to assimilate a jedi? The whole collective would have force access. Game over!

Posted by MikeTheKnife on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:10 pm EDT

star trek cuz they have the hottest chicks of any universe vs. leia in a bikini (a 10 on any hotness meter but name one other chick in the star wars universe that even gets up to a 4, i dare you). you think a sith lord is going to whack some hot trek babe (deanna troy for example)??? i think not kind sir!

Posted by rumbagod on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:10 pm EDT

Star wars. The Force. Nuff said

Also whoever put that chart together has way to much time on their hands.

Posted by M13a77 on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:16 pm EDT

Jedi + Sith + Clone Army + Bounty Hunters = ultimate raping of the Star Trek universe.

Posted by Gatsu on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:21 pm EDT

rumba....we never saw Padame in a slave outfit....I believe it would be nice!!!!

Posted by sicrik on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:22 pm EDT

Now see...I have to go with Star Trek...beaming and shield technology...there aren't really that many jedi and as seen they can be overwhelmed...a few bombs beamed aboard and bye bye ship without any real damage.

Star Trek wins easily

Posted by Eviluncle on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:34 pm EDT

+1 for padame in a slave outfit

Posted by rumbagod on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 2:43 pm EDT

Star Wars

Posted by YEM on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 3:38 pm EDT

Star Trek

The Force doesn't work well against orbiting ships.

Posted by Blue_Stiehl on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 3:38 pm EDT

I'll go with Star Wars on this one. Force manipulation, thousands of ships, fighters and all that versus fleets of cruisers?

Death Star For The WIN!

Unless you add the Borg to the ST mix. Then it would be more interesting!

SC

Star Wars. The Death Star takes care of any ships with shields.

Posted by KingBayman on Thu Oct 2, 2008 @ 3:50 pm EDT

King Bayman....pashaw. By the time the Death Star locked on and got the firing sequence ready they beamed 3 quantom torpedoes into the core chamber and blew it up...nope, no death star wins today...plus..if they are working together..there is the borg and the romulans relent on federation having cloaking technology....can't shoot what you can't see.

Star Trek in a second. The Borg adapt to any energy weapon, so blasters and light sabers are useless against them. Assimilate the Jedi and Sith and Star Wars has no chance in hell.

As mentioned before, Star Trek has shields, transporters and photon torpedos. Also, let's not forget warp drive. Completely different propulsion system than hyperspace. Star Trek ships can actually battle while in warp, making their ships much faster than their Star Wars counterparts.

Star Trek also has Changelings, the ultimate infiltrator. Take them out from the inside.

Not allowing the Q? Not fair. If you elliminate the Q, you must take away Jedi and Sith, as they can manpulate the world around them, too. Fair is fair.

The Betazoids can read minds. They'll know what the enemy is thinking and can stay one step ahead all the time.

Let's not forget the Xindi form "Enterprise." They developed a weapon powerful enough to destroy an entire planet, and it was nothing more than a satellite. Star Wars needed a space station the size of a small moon to accomplish this, which proves Trek is more technologically advanced.

Previously mentioned- cloaking devices.

Metichlorians(spelling?). As Star Trek is more advanced than Star Wars, if metichlorians existed in our part of the universe, it would have been discovered by now. This means that the metichlorians are localized in the Star Wars galalxy. Take the Jedi/Sith out of their galaxy and their power to use the force vanishes and they become nothing more than cannon fodder.

Further proof that Trek is more advanced. Phasers are far more powerful weapons than laser blasters. Lasers are primitive weapons, predecessors to phasers.

The bottom line is this- The Jedi/Sith are the only thing Star Wars has going for them. But, they are only helpful in a ground war, not space combat. Trek can counter them with the Q, because it's only fair to include them, but if you insist on leaving them out, we still have the Borg with their adapting shields and overwhelming numbers.

YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE

Dayum, Guardian won me over. Star Trek wins, even without Q

Star Wars FTW:

First, all ships in the Star Wars Universe have Shields, no beaming through shields, even in the Star Trek universe, gotta take the shields out first. No sneaking in explosives, or beaming the engine outside into space.

If you are bringing in the Borg, then you have to bring in the Sith Armies from the Jedi Civil wars. Also the Yuzhang Vong get to come into the battle. They are anti-tech....all weapons are pure organic, they don't have sheilds, they have black holes to suck up missles and phazers. They would clean up the Klingons.

I don't think the Borg could assimilate the Jedi and then use the force. It takes a special mind set to use the force and the collective would nullify that ability. I know the Borg adapt, but um, try adapting to a force choke or some force lighting that affects your own "life force". I guess in the end the Jedi could just rip the tubes and maching parts off the Borg, let's see them modulate their shields to deal with that!

Btw, the Jedi are not immortal, omnipotent, omnipresent, etc. The Q are. Jedi and Q are apples and lugnuts.

Let's talk about the Star Treck Tech. Hmmm...Stars wars galaxy is completely explored and thier propulsion tech lets anyone travle across the entire galaxy. If this battle is in the Delta Quadrant, only Voyager and the Borg will show up for battle!

Sun Crusher: Quantaum Amor, can fly into the very center of a star and was designed to survive a super nova at ground zero. Ya, its weapon is basically "nova bombs" that send any star super nova. Star Wars can lure the Trekkies into a solar system, set up their gravity well generators to prevent warp travel, then just set the star off super nova.

Betazoids.....can read some minds. Sith and Jedi have Battle Meditation they canuse this to link commanders together to coordinate attacks, and also anticipate the enemies tactical moves, while at the same time strike fear, terror, confusion and demotivation into the hearts & mind of the enemy.

Bottom Line:

Trek, better everyday tech, hands down.

Star Wars: Better doomday/super weapon tech

Yuzhang Vong from Stars Wars are the Anti- Borg ( and that right there would be a great battle).

It comes down to this: Star Trek is based on super tech, while Star Wars is based on the Force. That is what this about. The jedi/sith vs. the Federation Engineers. Q dosen't even factor into this. (When the jedi can end every civilization in the universe with a snap of the fingers, I will call them equal with Q. This is kinda like Data fighting my palm pilot).

At the end of the day who gonna get the girls. Picard or Han Solo. A force weilding jedi, or a Cheif O'Brian....nuff said.

Star Wars FTW

Posted by Hunturic on Fri Oct 3, 2008 @ 1:26 am EDT

Oh, the jedi can sense the people in ships that are cloaked, plus use the force to target their weapons......Cloaks nullified.
