Some people never learn

You may recall that we conduct sigmatches in 2old2pwn. Basic premise: The gauntlet is thrown down. Someone picks it up and they settle their dispute in the Thunderdome of Xbox Live. A game, map, weapons, and rules are agreed upon. The date is set and the challenge begins. The loser gets to then display a sig of shame for the entire site to enjoy.

KidMach, who has explosive flatulence of the mouth, has probably played more sigmatches than anyone. He has yet to win a match. A few weeks ago, he played against Yountdog and lost and got the privilege of displaying the following sig.

He took offense to my advertising of this loss and decided to challenge me to a match. We agreed to play our match in COD on Killhouse. Before we could play, SirRoberts spoke up and wanted to join in on the fun and thus challenged Yount. What resulted was a 2 on 2 sigmatch. Me and Yount vs Roberts and Kid.

Frying Bacon

Ask and ye shall receive.

Here are vids of four of my friends getting the juice. The best one is the last one. He was nervous about it all day and, when the votls started flying, he started cussing. Didn't even realize what he was saying. At one point, he says "Please stop." That's about the time all of us started laughing. So call that fair warning. The language on the last one could be NSFW.

After everyone had gone, they asked me if I wanted to try it. I told them no. They then asked me why. I simply told them it was because I didn't have to, I knew it was gonna hurt like hell, and I'm not stupid. The instructors said that around 10% out of one class they taught crapped themselves. No one had in this one so the odds were good that I'd involuntarily fill my drawers. Dixie can fuss all she wants about me not doing it but only about three of the guys in that department would have done it if it wasn't mandatory for them.

Plus those evil F-ers would've had the instructor light me up for like 15 seconds just to screw with me.

Tomorrow is going to be fun

I spent six years working patrol for a smaller police deapartment in Tennessee. I am now assigned to that county as the Special Investigator for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. I have an office within my old department that I work out of so I see my old friends and my old bosses but I no longer work for them.

I found out that, tomorrow, they are being certified to carry the tazer. As part of their training, they must have the tazer used on them. I am going to work tomorrow and I am going to sit at the back of the room and watch all my buddies scream like little girls. That is going to be sweet.

2008 Clan LAN Video

Every year our clan gets together for a clan LAN in Pittsburgh. We have an amazing time each year and each of us look starrt looking forward to the next year's as soon at the last one is over. This past year marked our third LAN.

After each LAN, all the pictures are put together and Walladog makes a video for us. The video is truly a work of art and I felt it needed to be shared with the rest of the site.

One dog and one whiny bitch enters...

We have a 2old2pwn tradition of sig matches. This is where a challenge is made between members. One chooses the weapons and the other chooses the map. These have traditionally been played in HALO but we are trying to branch out. The challenge usually occurs because one member's mouth overloads his butt. These sigs usually were so disgusting and degrading that they couldn't actually be displayed as sigs and we had to have a separate NSFW thread going for our Hall of Shame. They have gotten a lot more tame.

Recently, KidMach went to running his mouth (as is usual) and made statements questioning the manhood of Yount because he was playing Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. This advanced to a sigmatch, which was played last night.

Yount soundly put the smash down on Kid. The result is that Kid must now display the following sig.

The sig is appropriate since Kid is a pretty, pretty princess.

Jaws: The Revenge

Nothing police related today.

I am really freaked out by sharks and I can blame the Jaws movies for this. The idea of a beast that big which is nothing but teeth and a stomach terrifies me. The original Jaws is arguably one of the best movies made. The tension and fear it brings mingled with the introduction of two great characters - Martin Brody and Quint - really makes it an outstanding film. The fact you don't see the shark much makes it better because it leaves so much more to the imagination. Jaws 2 was also a good movie. It wasn't as good as the first but it still had enough of the first movie in it to make it fun to watch. We then move onto Jaws 3D. Now, this isn't a bad movie but it isn't really a good movie either. The shark effects are dated and awful but it never really crosses over into the bad range.

We then hit Jaws: The Revenge and the whole thing is just a big floating turd. I saw this the other night. Actually, I DVRed it and fast forwarded this the other night. Now, it had been close to 15 years since I last saw this but I had no idea how truly ridiculous this movie was. First, the idea that a shark would seek revenge on one specific family is as stupid of an idea as there can be but, let's just say it's remotely possible, wouldn't the best way to handle this be to simply move to Montana or something? The other things are just movie things that don't make sense like the shark's roaring. I had no idea that sharks were able to speak. Another is in the scene towards the end where the shark pulls Michael Caine's plane into the water and he then reappears beside the boat after swimming over there. When they pulled Caine into the boat, he's completely DRY? WTH?

But the worst was in the version I saw last night. Apparently there are two endings to this movie. In the one I remembered, Mario Van Peebles is eaten and the boat rams the side fo the shark (as it's rearing up out of the water and screaming). One of the last shots of the movie show the now dead shark sinking to the bottom with the front of the boat impaled into it's side. In the version I saw last night, not only did Mario manage to survive this shark swallowing his ass up to his neck but the shark exploded when the boat hit it. That's right. When the boat impaled the shark, it exploded. I had no idea that sharks explode when coming in contact with wood. That's good information to have.

Anyway, after seeing this ridiculous ending I did a youtube search to see if I could find the ending I remembered and stumbled across this gem. It's a video of late comedian Richard Jeni talking about how bad Jaws: The Revenge is and I felt it should be shared.

Case Update

A few months ago, I posted some info on a case I was working on. The case involved a man who had died while in the custody of police. There was a question of what caused this man's death. I was unable, and still am, to comment on anything specifically relating to this case but the man's autopsy finally came back and I wanted to at least post the news article that was released. Anyway, here's the article.

Death by drug, not Taser
The autopsy on a Jackson man who died after being Tasered while in custody of Milan police in April shows that he died as a result of cocaine toxicity, according to the Milan police chief.

The report the Shelby County Medical Examiners Office did on Jermaine Ward ruled his death as an accident, Milan Police Chief Tim Wright said Tuesday.

A toxicology analysis found 16.5 milligrams per liter of cocaine in Ward's system, Wright said.

Ward's mother and brother said Tuesday that they will ask for a federal investigation into his death and the actions of the Milan Police Department. They say they believe Ward's civil rights were violated and that he was a victim of racial profiling.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting the investigation of Ward's death, which is nearly complete, said John Mehr, TBI special agent in charge in Jackson. Information gathered during the investigation will be turned over to the District Attorney's Office, Mehr said Tuesday. He said he could not comment on what the investigation has shown.

Milan police officers arrested Ward, 28, on April 27 after a traffic stop. Police have said Ward was resisting arrest and not complying with orders when they used a Taser to help subdue him. Officers said they were trying to get him to spit out a substance he was chewing that they believed was marijuana.

Ward was arrested on a charge of simple possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and tampering with evidence, according to police records.

Police have said he initially was alert when they took him to be booked. A dispatcher later noticed something "just wasn't right" with Ward as he awaited processing in the Milan police station, authorities have said. Police took him to Milan General Hospital, where he died.

His family said they want the video tape recording of the arrest released to the public.

"Every false report they wrote will come to light," Ward's mother, Carolyn Nesbitt, said.

She said she believes her son didn't receive proper medical attention after being Tasered that night.

Wright said the autopsy report made no mention of the Taser being a factor in Ward's death.

"I can understand the family feeling the way they do, but facts are facts," he said. "Everything I know based on what the medical examiners told us was the cause of death was the cocaine poisoning."

Nesbitt said the family wants an investigation into whether someone could have put the drugs into her son's body.

The family did not get a chance to see Ward's body before it was sent for autopsy, she said.

"Why was he already being sent to Memphis just before we arrived at the hospital to see him?" Nesbitt said.

She said the family is planning another protest in Milan as a follow-up to one that was held in June.

Ward's brother Destyon Ward said he wants anyone who has information about the case or who feels they've been wronged by the Milan Police Department to come forward.

"We speak on behalf of Jermaine as well as the citizens of Milan," he said. "We come in peace, and all we want is justice done in this matter."

2008 2old2pwn Clan LAN

We've just returned from our 3rd Annual Clan LAN in Pittsburgh and we had an amazing time. I think we spent more time sitting around the gazebothan actually gaming. During the weekend, a LOT of alcohol and Jello Shots were consumed, Jello was sacrificed, a Ninja Pigeon tried to kill IACO, a cooler was ridden for eight seconds by sleestak, an unsolicited cannonball was performed into the hot tub, and they actually asked us to come back. Forget Disney World. THIS is the happiest place on Earth.

Thanks DEEP NNN

Last night, I encountered Deep trying to comandeer one of our Hornets. I tried to reason with him about his delinquent behavior. Below is a series of photos showing what transpired.

As you can see, I was basically an innocent bystander in all of this. I tried to talk him out of his criminal activities. I had a very polite and reasonable note written on the rocket I fired on him but then he had to fly off the handle and explode his Hornet all over me. Damn Canadians...

(BTW...I truly love the Canadian people just as Deep loves us Americans. I just like to throw a little love to our neighbors that live in America's hat.)

I LIVE!!!!

I survived. It was alright but I dosed up with some dramamine before take off and it's a good thing I did cause I was still a little queasy. I also spent the whole flight with my butt drawn up so tight I think I almost inhaled the seat.

Da Plane, Boss, Da Plane

So...our agency has a plane (I don't know what kind of plane so don't ask. It's small and white. I hope that helps) that it uses for surveillance and other covert stuff. I have a case where I am going to need some aerial photographs taken. I thought I'd provide them with the GPS coordinates of my locations, they'd fly down, use some of the high tech equipment they have on the plane to take my photos, and then go home. I found out today that I have to go up with him on Wednesday and then I would take the photos. I was thinking that this was gonna be cool. I get to fly around in a plane with a bunch of fancy spy-type gear and pretend I'm James Bond.

Tonight, at supper, I tell my wife about this. She tells me not to tell my aunt. I remark that it makes sense because her first husband died in a plane crash and that really messed her up. He was flying a small plane and lost control. My wife then remarks, "Yep cause you're gonna have to fly low to take the photos."

My mind then goes through the following thought process. "My aunt would freak out because her first husband was flying low when he had his crash and died and I knew a guy from high school where the same thing happened wait I'm gonna be in a small plane flying low and I'm heavy maybe I'm too heavy for the plane what if that causes us to crash and that other equipment ain't light that can't be good and I'm gonna be in that plane and I'm gonna have to spend my time looking down at the ground as we are flying low if something happens I'm helpless I'm screwed I could die I don't wanna do this maybe I can get another agent to go up instead no I have to be the one cause I can identify the locations from the air and no one else can crap my kids are gonna grow up without a daddy and my wife is gonna marry some other guy and they are gonna be happy and grow old together and I'm gonna be dead..."

You get the idea. I now find the idea significantly less cool and I am sitting here kind of freaking out about this. Hopefully, I'll be able to blog about this on Wednesday night. Otherwise, I hope my wife and Billy are very happy together.

Dammit MOM

Been a while. Been busy.

On patrol one day, when we get a call from a local juvenile probation officer that a runaway from a juvenile detention center was seen walking down Main Street wearing a red coat and cap. We were told his name was Roady McCoy. (Name changed to protect the stupid). I'm close and get there quickly. I see the person they described and pull up to him. Another officer pulls up and I begin to talk to the guy. I ask for his name and he gives one that isn't what we were looking for but the guy seems nervous so I keep talking to him. I'm pretty much stalling him until the probation officer can get there and make a positive ID. I talk to the guy for a few minutes and she gets there but isn't sure if this is the kid that ran away.

He turns to talk to her. He reaches up, grabs the bill of his cap, lifts it off his head, scratches his head with the same hand, and puts it back on his head. I immediately grab him and put him on the hood of my car. As I'm cuffing him, the other officer and the probation officer are asking me why I'm doing it. I finish cuffing the kid and then take the hat off his head. I look inside it to verify what I had previously seen and then show it to the others. Written with a sharpie on the inside of his cap in BIG, BOLD LETTERS is the name "ROADY MCCOY".

I guess momma didn't want someone to walk off with his hat. When I showed it to him, he just ducked his head and cut the BS.

Moral of the story: If you're gonna lie about who you are, make sure your momma didn't write your name in your clothes. We cops call that a clue.

HIV positive man gets 35 years for spitting on officer

I've never heard of this kind of a sentence being handed down for this. As an offcier, I could always deal with the thought of being injured or even killed but the idea of being infected was terrifying. In this case, since the man knew he was HIV positive, him spitting on the officer became what can be considered dealy force. States have long since enacted laws to try and protect victims and prosecute teh guilty. Here is the Dallas story on this case.

Locally, they just had a case about this issue. a man who knew he was HIV positive bit off a man's lip. He's being charged with Criminal Exposure to HIV. This is a class C felony which carries a potential sentence of not less than three (3) years nor more than fifteen (15) years in prison. In addition, the jury may assess a fine not to exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000), unless otherwise provided by statute.

For the record, this law applies if the accused knew AT THE TIME of the assault that they were infected.
