Life has been busy in my world. I work for a major airline and we have been dealing with a Typhoon in Japan. Somehow we have managed to keep all the freight flowing around it by moving crews around. I wish I could take all the credit, but I had a lot of help here and I hope they all know that I am in debt to each one of them.

I am looking forward to Vegas. My wife and I are headed out for 6 days on the 28th. We really got a great deal too. I used a site that rhymes with boatels.com and we managed a 6 day stay, round trip air for less than 800 dollars!

Anyway, hope all you old folks are doing fine.

I am sure there will be some stats on how many people get married today... Wonder if there be some kind of record? I am sure Vegas is cashing in on the 777 day as well. Just be sure there is a little out there for Michele and I when we get there on the 28th! I hope to win big again this year. But if not, there is always the Hooters Casino pool!

Three Years!

I know everyone and their cousins are blog'n about the new 3 year xbox bust and fix news. My question is, why didn't they just admit it. Looking at the heat dispersment on the PS3 and the 360, even I who stink at math, can figure out that might be a problem. Why didn't they just make the box like the old one? It was big, and it was ugly, but it worked so well. I never had even a hicup with my original. And my stepson used to haul that around from house to house and play mini lans like it was his job. If anything was bad about that is I went thru about 10 controllers as he lost them everywhere.

I did notice something I wanted to add, and maybe see if any of you have noticed the same thing. I ALWAYS kept my 360 on it's side. I guess it is just because I am old and that seemed the most logical way to store the device. Since I got my refurb back I bought the Pelican Cooler and now I have it in the upright position. What I noticed is that the machine seems to be running or staying a whole lot cooler. I think it is because of the "chimney" effect that seems to be happening. There are holes all over the box but heat does rise and shortest route out it up. Anyway I just wanted to add that. If anyone has any input, fire away.

Leaving the Royal Order of The Red Lights

Today is the day. Microsoft finally came through with a brand "old" refurb 360. I guess one never really misses something until it is gone. I have complained about the lack of games that are good, or the cost of the add ons with all the online content, but when it comes right down to it I did miss my 360.

Like a friend of mine if this one pukes I will be getting a new one, probably the elite, but lets hope that doesn't happen till around Christmas so Santa can bring one.

Royal Order of The Red Lights update/questions

I have been reading about a new heat exchanger ( I know that is probably not the correct term, but hey I never claimed full geek status) If anyone knows about that drop me a line. Also heard that the little Nyco fan can cause a problem as well. Again, any info is welcome.

I am no expert, by any stretch but the 360 is like a space heater. And there is no way that can be good for what is basically a computer. So, to fan or not to fan.. that is the question.

Oh, and someone tell HogRyder that having family photos on your blog is cool. It lets people see you and yours, cause for most of us you are just a voice. FYI next time have your brother put his teeth in. Or it might be the HOG, unless you can see the tail it is a tuff call. See, Hog is pretty quick, and when they was a cuttin off tails he made a run for it!

I am sure that Hog, and NotDeep will soon be joining us in the proud league of ROTRL soon enough, seeing as back hair, dandruff , fleas and dorito crumbs are lining the fans of thier xbox's and will soon overheat. Funny, as Not uses his 360 as a hot-plate!
