Things are moving along...

Well work was pretty normal this week which is nice after what the last few months have been like. The project is moving right along, still tons to do, but not as overwhelming. This allowed me to actually get in some fun "me" time this week. I actually played Halo twice this week! DOH! Shhh! Don't tell anyone. Felt good to be back on and running around. The rust was thick but I was starting to feel it get knocked off. Had a real nice game on Lockout I think it was with 18 kills and something like 10 or so deaths. Of course reality set in when the next few games were like 6 kills, 10 deaths or worse. But there was a glimmer of the Stryker of old in there.

Also this week there was a ton of great stuff added to the XBL marketplace and reported online out of the X06 conference this week, all kinds of goodness. If anyone hasn't seen the trailer for Halo Wars yet, you don't know what you are missing. That trailer gave me goose bumps. It is available at www.halowars.com or in the XBL Marketplace.

Along with actually playing some Halo, I also got to get caught up on the sig requests that have been sitting out there for a while. Thanks to everyone that has been so patient and waited. So without further ado, here are some samples from this week's batch of graphic goodness!

My Addiction

Well here is my first blog. I haven't jumped on the band wagon well because it's a band wagon. And I don't think I'll be able to keep it regularly updated, but I thought I would get on here and just let it flow.

All in all life is good. Currently I am working some crazy hours, 50-60. Maybe not that bad for some, and maybe even normal for some. But my job doesn't usually require more than 40-45 hours per week. But it's a new program that we are getting off the ground and it's requiring a lot. The result of this is a decrease in my time for the good things in life. Time with my family, hobbies, house work, and of course gaming. So how do I cope...

With my addiction to making sigs for all my OMM peeps! It's like therapy or crack to sit down and work out a sig for my pals. I think I have made over 30 of these things now. And I don't mind at all. I love playing around with Photoshop and always like a challenge to do something different than I have done before. At times I have even chose to do that over gaming mostly because my brain hurts and I am not sure I could contribute on any level even conversationally after I have banged out a 12-16 hour day. But just putting on some of my favorite tunes and working through the process of creating a sig is my therapy. Music tastes in that moment range from jazz (Diana Krall, Chris Botti) to rock (311, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Coldplay) to some old skool favorites like Beastie Boys.

I miss my OMM peeps. Other than posting, I haven't been able to game with them. I miss taking Lonewolf's money in Texas Hold Em, being sniped by CMA for the 10th time, taking MTK down in COD using the "anti-aircraft" gun, playin' SWAT Potato with RaginBull, and the random conversations of an UNO game with Castle, Dan, and Skeyewalker. Hopefully things will balance out in the next few weeks, but in the meantime, my sig therapy will get me through. I want to thank all my OMM peeps who have given me the chance to contribute and become apart of a great community of people. These sigs aren't just my therapy but my way of capturing the in a sig my respect and feelings about the great group we have.
