I kinda feel bad.

Well I just had to ask an older gentleman to leave the hotel. He was a nice guy and all, but he made a reservation through Hotwire. So seeing as it's another online reservation, I knew something bad was gonna happen. Well he wanted a non smoking king bed room, they booked him a smoking one. And charged him $53 for our rate AND $13.55 tax recovery charge and fee. So he paid $66.55 for a room that would have cost him $59.83 after taxes with me. So here's the kicker. I had him fill out the paperwork, and since I was busy, I didn't charge the pre paid credit car sent with most online reservations. So here it is 8:30 at night and I run it, it's declined. What the fuck? So I called them up AGAIN to ask why I can't get our money for the room. No answer, so I leave a nice message (and everyone that knows me loves my nice messages) So I decided to go online to gethuman.com, and get there human number. Success! Now I'm talkin' with someone.

Hotwire Fucko-"Hello this is Assface at Hotwire, how are you today?"

AssholeNumba'1 (me) - "Not to well, it seems we have a problem running your credit card. It's been declined. I need a new one or I'm going to have to charge the guests directly."

Hotwire Fucko-"We promise we can get another one for you tomorrow sir."

AssholeNumba'1 (me)- "No that will not do, do you know how many times I've had that line tried on me before? I either have some form of payment in 5 minutes or this guy is paying or leaving."

Well I didn't get anything back so I asked the gentleman to come up to the front. He did and I said there's been a problem with your account, I have to charge you directly. He refused so I told him he had to leave. He begged and pleaded so I shot him. Kidding, but it's more drawn out than that and I have not the time nor energy to type it up. So basically another day one in the fight to bring down online reservations. And yet another reason NEVER to use these online companies. I even offered him the cheaper of the two rates!

So I'm at work.

So I'm at work and I'm busy as hell. Well not so busy as to where I couldn't write this. I'm getting scared recently about my job security. I don't feel like I'm doing that well at doing things around here. I'm trying my goddamnedest to balance all this shit happening and it's just never enough. I have overbookings left and right, and I think corporate or some other online site is changing our rack reports (report of how many rooms total we have.) And that's going to have an effect on us until September. I have to get breakfast up here everymorning. I have to beg and plead with my boss to pay me what I have taken out of my own pocket to the things we need up here. I don't get anything for driving back and forth, and if I'm a doughnut short for some fat fucker that wants another dough nust EVEN THOUGH HE'LL EAT HALF AND THROW IT AWAY, I still get the blame for not having enough breakfast. I have phone calls every minute asking if we have rooms for the weekend that starts tomorrow. They can't hear me say "Knights Inn this is David how can I help you." They always have to ask what this place is...they wonder if they have called Knights Inn. Yes you did you stupid fucking prick. No I do not have rooms for tomorrow. Then they act surprised. "Why ain'tchu gots no rooms? What goin' on dat so special in towns?" Well it 's fucking summer time, the busy season, you know, just like at McDonald's during lunch time. So you waste about 20 seconds of my life each time asking me this, when if you could take that 20 second out of YOUR OWN TIME and THINK about it. Writing this far I have recieved 7 phone calls. 4 asking if I have rooms for tonight tomorrow and Saturday, 2 for reservations on a good date, another phone call about a cancelation email she just got dated for '07, and 1 just asking info on the hotel. I move people from room to room, I get in trouble...ooo. I try to make everyone happy up here, doesn't work. Maids are fighting amongst each other. It just sucks royally up here. I just really want to scream everytime the phone rings. I had dreams last week about overbookings running through my head...all I saw were DD1 and K11 running circles around each other everytime I closed my eyes to sleep. The stress is getting to me and I'm about to explode. I'm in the negative and have checks bouncing because of this fucking stupid breakfast I have to pick up or these fat assholes that stay up here. I'm to the point where I'm going to take money out of the cash register if they want me to get breakfast. I've fucking had it. Year before last we got a xmas bonus, this year we got nothing, and maybe the coming up xmas will be the same. I always hated when they would tease you with a bonus and never deliver. It just fucking sucks. And I feel like I can't tell anyone so I might as well just type it for all you other fuckers to read. It just really sucks. I feel trapped and I know I am. I'm paid enough to keep my house and pay my bills. I get about $30 a month to myself, and $8 goes to xbox live every month. Yeah I know I can save money by getting the 12 month subscrip. But when you can barely skim by every fucking day, I doubt you can save enough to get that. I haven't bought ammo for my S&W in about a year. I have the same 16 hollow points, 14 in the clip, one in the chamber, and one at home. It's getting fucking shitty. Every second longer I sped in this place keep driving me closer and closer to going fucking nuts. Every day I go home I look at my house and thank whatever fucking higher power is there. I take pride in my home but I can't keep it up (ha ha) I get called all night about questions from work, I get called in the morning about paperwork, then when I get here I deal with the job for 10 hours EVERY DAY. I'm just sick of the fucking shit. My boss drives through here and they could easily sell their other prop for 5 million. They could just take the money and split town. I don't know why they stick around, I'm just glad I can pay for my house. But everytime I look at my place, I'm just happy to know what I can do with it...and I try whenever I have any energy left. I don't have any time to myself anymore, unless I stay up late and make the wife pissed off that I'm on live until 1-2 in the morning. But it's the only tiome I can get my own space. She comes home and kicks it in the room for about an hour or more. She reads comes in cooks dinner, talks to the kids, gets some laundry done, but she gets alone time. She can take a lunch break in the middle of the day and be away from work. But she just doesn't seem to understand, I want to go out sometime. I haven't been out drinking with friends since, 2006. We're getting a minivan...it's a 2002 Windstar. $500, needs trannie work. So after it's in the shop for the past month we're about to take it over for about $2495. Luckily she's getting it through the car lot at a great monthly payment price. But we've been planning for this and basically we're cutting out night out dinner to get it (which usually involved pizza, taco bell, wendy's, or some other cheap place.) Well I can't think of anything else to vent/bitch about on here. So please tell me if I need help or what. I don't have insurance which is another topic all it's own, and even if I did would they cover fucking going insane?

A Day Off?!

How do you people do it? I have 36 hours before I have to go back to work. It's been quite a while since I've had some time off. Maybe I should help around the house? Yeah I could do some laundry between games. I would rather watch some stuff I torrented, but my speakers are screwed up. Maybe if I smoke it'll help me think of something to do? I always have really great ideas when I'm high. In fact.....

I was thinking yesterday of why one room at the hotel suddenly has bugs. Well the most logical reason is, the old bug guy is planting them there. So I was thinking about what if I caught him doing it? I'd have to detain him so I could show that was in fact there. But maybe he'd resist. So I'd have to taser him. Then maybe he would get up with a knife, then I'd shoot him. Well is his truck there? Or did someone drop him off? Maybe when the cops came to get me they would have a trial. Well what if the city I live in is real corrupt? I mean, I have no recording cameras outside. Maybe they would say I planned to kill him all along? Then what? Then I had the crazy idea that if they had ANY of the same jurors during my friend's murder trial that it would be proof the city is in someone else's hands. Then I'd be locked away. So before that maybe I need to get a good defense. No not an attorney, even more guns! Maybe some explosives. Then when they come to try to take me away, I'd take them all down! Use some type of EMP blast to disable communication with other enforcement agencies. Then instead of someone else having an iron grasp on Hot Springs...it'd be me.

So yeah, get high think of crazy ideas. That sounds like a good one. Who knows, maybe I can get caught up on some sleep!

Thus why I hate locals

So I'm sitting here about 30 minutes ago, minding my own business when I get a guest. I turn off my music and he comes in to rent a room. He's a local, and we normally don't allow locals in our hotel. I tell him, "We've rented to you before but I've had no problems from you. So I'll rent to you but you need to know I have alot of friends on the force so if I have any trouble out of you I will kick you right out and keep your money." He agreed, and no sooner did he take the pen and start filling out the paperwork than his car got stolen by his girlfriend. She drove around the block and he went outside to meet her at the exit.

I grabbed my gun thinking his car had just gotten stolen. I pull the hammer back and wait for her around the corner. He sees me with the gun and says, "Don't please, she's my girlfriend." So I start putting my gun down, and here she comes around the corner. Well I guess he really loves her cause he stood in front of the car, and she hit the gas. I'd say she was doing a good 35-45 mph. And he got hit hard, up and on to the windshield, it really looked like that one guy's avatar of the midget wrestler skidding across the mat. Well he hung onto the car...she kept gassing it. She went up the embankment, hit the divided highway and started hauling ass... I don't nkow if he was still hanging on or not.

They go down about 300-400 ft. down the road and she's going faster and faster, she runs off the road into the ditch and flips the car over. I was already on the phone with 911 cause this fucker got hit fucking hard. I'm screaming oh shit as the car flips over. I tell them 2 people one hit by car, other driving car and car is now flipped over. I run back to the office and put my gun up and start running as fast as I could to the crash. I'm screaming out for the guy, "Hey man tell me you're alright!" "Oh please don't be underneath that goddamn car!" I heard voices from the road she was trying to go on. I yell but no one answers. The police officer shows up and I wave him down cause I gave them the address to the hotel at first. We look everywhere for the guy and can't find him nor the cunt that ran him down.

The police question me as we're looking for them. Well I walk with the FD while the police look to where I heard voices, I make it all the way back to my hotel. I grabbed his ID he left on the counter and came back out and meet up with FD. We make it back to the crash and they have the girl in custody. I kept telling them, the guy could very well be under the car. They never even began to pick up the car. This is all still going on and I'm about to drive back down there to see what's happening.

So I guess I'm not taking a nap tonight.

*UPDATE*

I just got back from down the street. The woman said that he had kidnapped her and she found her only way of escape as she told the police. They asked me how they were when they came in, I said that he was the only one that came in. Welp I figured there was nothing else so I start heading back to my truck, and I see the guy walking down the steet. I yelled as loud as I could for the cops and they came a runnin'! The guy put his hands up when I said there he is. The police made it to me and start drawing their guns and instructed him to put his hands on the hood the whole routine. They cuff this guy , with his head all swollen and legs hurt bad. They question him and they put him the the squad car. Goddamnit, me and my security guard were just joking about how nice and quiet it had been all night.

So I sit inside looking outside.

So I'm sitting here in the office. And we have such nice windows that let you see the field across the highway. It just seems so nice out there...Whenever it's a nice day and I have to work inside, I really feel the need to outside. Not because that's where I urinate, but I just miss be able to go outside and play. The kids like to go out, but they just sit around for about 15 minutes, get bored then go back inside. I'm thinking of buying a bike so I can go biking with them. I'd really like to be fishing right now. Smoke a joint, and cast the line out...you know, have something to do while I think. So maybe this is just a helpful hint. Go outside if it's sunny a breezey. Smoke a joint, and take your shoes off. Relax my fellow gamers, because if I have to go without my 360, so should you!

I fucking swear to god...

I fucking swear to god, fucking people and their shit. I mean really, this woman just came in saying she wanted a cot for her room. I said sure, it'll be $10. "Well they didn't tell me that when I arrived, they said they would set one up for me tonight." Well ma'am I'm telling you now, it's $10 for a cot, you give me $10 I'll set the cot up for you right now. "Oh fuck this shit, I knew we should have stayed at another hotel." Well of course you should have, with that shitty attitude you probably should have gotten drunk and fucked some bum on the street and died of some horrible disease. "Well I'm sorry ma'am, I can't give you free service." Do people really think if they curse alot at someone behind a desk that they're going to help them out? Do these assholes not realize that they signed a contract giving me the right to kick them the fuck out and not give them any money back? I mean really! I'm not saying I take people's money and give them bad service, I'm as fair as fair can be. But why on earth do people take their aggressions out on clerks and service people? These people HANDLE YOUR FOOD. Mmmm Spit City! The nice kicker here, is that the daughter just called to get the internet code. Very nice sounding girl, but how the hell did someone that nice come out of a CUNT THAT MEAN?

So yeah, my advice to anyone staying at a hotel, if you have a REAL problem, be kind and respectful. And not to mention read the contract you are signing! And don't expect to get everything for free. "Well I talked to this one girl and she said I could stay for free since I had such a bad time last time." "Well who did you speak with?" " I don't know, but she worked here, and she said so, so I should get my free room." Yeah right. Just because you said someone told you huh? Well shoot dog! I guess going to that LAN party I'll do the same thing! Surely it works on small minded folks in Arkansas, why not big city folk in Chicago? Fucking idiots. Jesus Fucking Christ. I am so sure that if anyone from this website came and stayed, they would say this is one great little place. Of course I'm not the Ritz, nor the Arlington, not to mention the Double Tree, but I have some damned good rates, and clean rooms. So yeah, I'm ending my rant, cause I might get worked up and go off on the next person, and I am running out of gardening space to bury the bodies.

Smart people are smart.

Just a short rant. Last Thursday night we had alot of rain. ALOT OF RAIN. It flooded all of downtown district and went over a bunch of bridges in our area. What does this have to do with smart people? Not to piss anyone off, no wait, yes to piss someone off in the hopes they'll realize a multi million dollar mistake that cost private citizens their businesses... A friend of mine was contracted in 1990 to clear out the drains of downtown because of the 100 year flood we had here back then. Since he is one of "dem-dar-cert-i-fied" engineer, he recommended a new sewer system to prevent this from ever happening again. Well I guess the city felt it was too much and the risk just wasn't there. Welp, 18 years later, Thursday, April 3rd, 2008, late at night, all those stores flooded downtown again...in almost a foot of water. So Monday he resent his work order with high lighted text of them rejecting it. But of course now the price is much higher, seeing as how the cost of living is up and everything like that. Welp should have gotten a good deal when it came to you the first time! Rant end.

Continental Breakfast

Alright, surely everyone has been to a hotel or motel that has continental breakfast served. But what is it with people that aren't happy with free food? Sure it's not bacon, eggs, steak, pancakes, waffles, and some other things that require a full cook staff to serve! The hotel/motel I work at is pretty cheap, for a weekday a single runs at most 59.95 on a weekend during the on season! And during off season the same room is 44.95. I have had more complaints lately because we don't have a full breakfast. "You think this is a continental breakfast! Where are the eggs and pancakes?" Sorry sir, this ain't yo' momma's house, and if it were, I'm sure she's slap the shit out of you for bitching about free fucking food. Just to let you know, we carry: Doughnuts, cereal, bagels, bread (white and wheat), honeybuns, doughnut holes, cinnamon mini doughnuts, milk, juice, and of course coffee. So is anything wrong with that? Hell sometimes if they're on sale, I'll get muffins just for the fuck of it.

And yes I know it's free, but I hate when they bring their kids in. Little Timmy gets a whole fuckin' doughnut and can't finish it and throws 9/10 of it away. Yeah I know, "who'd eat a partially eaten doughut?" Well I finish off alot of our kid's meals. I hate being wasteful. I put fucking doughnut holes out for this very reason. Your little brat of a child can't stuff a whole fucking doughnut, give them the holes please. And you know how many little fuckers they send by themselves up here?! If I were into stealing little kids and selling them, I would have bought this place after the first year.

Another fucking sucky thing, you know those cereal dispensers? Yeah, you know how many world class smart asses I have that can't figure those out? Oh yeah, more than you think. I have to constantly go in there and politely show them how to turn a freggin' knob. Even says, "Turn knob to agitate." With little arrows that point up on top. But no, these assholes feel the need to beat, shake, and throw the fucking thing around. And not to be rude to anyone from the surrounding areas, but please stop being stupid. Just stop. It really is heartberaking knowing that you're in my rooms procreating SOMETHING that'll be just as moronic as you.

So any suggestions on what else to serve here? I have aready asked my boss if we could do the whole waffle thing. I'm thinking about doing it without his permission for a weekend and get everyone to write about how good it was (oh I'm good about getting guests to do that!) But in a lighter note, I really would like to hear from anybody about this!

And since this about the place I work I'll go ahead and say this, if you make a reservation for anything anywhere you will be charged for not being there. Simple right? Nope, not 'round these here parts! We have a policy that if you want to cancel you have to give us 24 hour notice prior to your arrival. Try doing that with a cruise line! And what about a doctor's office? Yup, I'm quite sure you get charged a fee for not coming in. Basically, in case you don't know, this make us loose money. If I have 4 rooms reserved for one person and they put up their credit card and say "Why yes I will be there!" then by god they better show! I hold a room, if the credit card is good, until 6 am the following morning. Trust me, I would really want to sell the room if you were coming, hell if you told me I could do it. But since I waited so long and you never came, I am now out 4 rooms I could have sold. Yes, I'm going to be rude to you on the phone about it, I have caught enough flak from MY boss about it. Plus this makes you seem like a deadbeat. If you feel you can't make it, try holding the room on just your promise. "Hold me a room! I'm David. No, no credit card, only cash for me! Well I don't have one cause I have terrible credit! No I never go through with anything I say I am." Fuck you dead beat...fuck you.

Oh another side note, we use Mexicans as housekeepers. No not illegals, they must have all papers or they don't work here. Granted they might not speak and understand english, but they are a better worker than any white, black, yellow, brown, shit even blue people. Sorry, sad fact. I'd love to hire a bunch of pretty white girls that were all blonde with big tits, but they would never get anything clean. I have one mexican girl today that is doing one whole half block by herself. That's 10 rooms I have her doing deep cleaning duties. Defrost all fridges, clean all trim, clean EVERYTHING in the bathrooms. vacuum under all beds, clean under everything, just basically cleaning all rooms entirely. Then I have this old white woman that's been here for about a month wanting a raise. This Mexican girl has worked here for about 2 months now and is happy to work at all! So you tell me who I want to clean for me? Yeah thought you'd see it my way.

Hey all...just got access.

Just got access...don't have long. Flooding has hit Hot Springs, I had alot of guests tat were turned away at major intersections due to rising waters. Tornadoes south and east of us, but not by much. School closing through out, and the freggin' hotel is flooded! Just wanted to say hi and try to throw a flare out to anyone with a life ring or boat! We'll be alright, so long as the rain let's up.............

Just to show all of you how far my extremes go. I love me some freggin' ICP. That's right, Insane Clown Posse...but how about some Junior Brown? Ha! Didn't see that one did you? Glenn Miller? But one thing that I really am guilty of dancing to naked in my living room is Eurobeat stuff. Mostly stuff from Initial D. So check out that anime if you like cars, driving theories, or cheesey old 90's dance music. That's right, unlike the elders here, I grew up listening to most of my music in the 90's. Cheesey and cheap, bestest music of my life. So what else can anyone suggest to expand my listening experience? I only have a limited time before I go deaf since all of us are over a QUARTER OF A CENTURY OLD. Prior to me leaving this blog to the site and for me to get back onto Xbox Live, I have some suggestions for video watchin'. Initial D (start from the beginning) Neon Genesis Evangelion (I am the spear of longenius!) Ghost In The Shell (movies and S.A.C. series and movie but only in order!) Appleseed (probably both) and of course Macross (series or movies, I just watched Macross: Do You Remember Love? brings me to goosebumps and tears every time.) Speaking of tears, I cried at the end of Big Fish. Yeah that's right, old men dying with family around them make me cry real hard. Gotta problem with that?

Why Sha and Onesimos SUCK

Why Sha and Onesimos SUCK...well let's see. They get into Chromhounds, then leave real quick. So whenever I come on, "Oh they were just on 30 minutes ago! Damnit...just missed them. Welp, I might as well go to Halo3 since they probably won't be coming back." And as soon, AND I MEAN AS SOON, as I find that last asshole for a DLC objective, *pop* Onesimos is online. *pop* Sha is online. And I mean right at the same time. Then while I'm trying my damnedest to quickly end the game (not by team killing or giving up mind you!) I get the messages, "Halo sucks" "Why aren't you in 'hounds?" FUCK YOU GUYS! I want to play! I figured you weren't coming back but NOOOO!!!. And then, when I work a graveyard shift, there they are playing 'hounds. And I swear it's not just , "Sha is playing Chromehounds," but "Shaw is playing Chromehounds, and you're at work, asshole." What the fuck man!? How do you do that Sha? But luckily when I'm not there, they are deranking, and sucking, and killing each other, and falling off cliffs and killing themselves. So now I don't feel so bad about them playing late at night without me. Oh I'm ready for the, "Oh yeah, well Desk fell asleep before we left the lobby to a new game and sat there and got killed from being passed out drunk." Hey man, I'm playing my character to the T. He's a drunk Russian, what were you expecting? Some kinda sweet smelling russian hottie dude? What the fuck, man! So yeah, Ones and Sha SUCK! Suck suck suck suck!

Nah, I'm only kidding, these guys are the only ones I'd leave Halo for. So that being said, anyone who actually DOES have a problem with them can suck the shit out of my asshole because that'll be the only thing you can do to save your life from my pistol being placed against your ear.
