Mixed feelings!!!

After my daughter was born, her mommy was home from work for a year, now I've been home for about 4 months and now I'm looking at my last week! Mixed feelings! It's been unbelievably great to have spend so much time with my daughter but being home almost full time and only work a few hours here and there also takes it's toll, sort of turns your life up side down, I dont know, I'll absolutely miss it and I do get a bit emotional thinking I wont get to experience a time like this with her again but at the same time it's good knowing things will get back to normal!!! Ah well, a change for the better right?! Good thing though, I will now be able to play with my clan (2old2playHalo) more since I dont have to get up as early as I have the last 4 months!!! Looking forward to it!!!

A sweet halo moment...which I needed!!!

A lil update is needed before you read this.
Don't have internet at the moment. Messed up the shut off date and the reconnect date when we ordered a new connection!!! doh!!! I'm without for 4-5 weeks!!!
My clan knows this, but for the rest of you...

During the week I was visiting some friends in their studio with my daughter.
At their studio they have 3 TV's and Halo!!!
- "Damn guys, I haven't played a decent game in a month, we have to PLAY!!!", I said.
These guys knows I'm a halo addict who hasn't played for a while, so they instantly knew they had a perfect shot at whooping my swedish behind and quickly agreed on playing!!!
First game I came last but not that far behind.
Oh, the smiles on their faces.
My aim sucked and I was all over the place in a bad way.
Remember I haven't tried to hit a moving target in a month, but I have to admit I wasn't happy??!!
Second game started out good.
My aim was back and I was in the lead.
During the first game one of my friends who doesn't play halo was instead entertaining my daughter but halfway through the second game she was bored with him and wanted to come to papa.
Who can resist.
I finished the last half of the game with my daughter in my lap, switching between playing the game and having fun with the little one.
This of course made my buddies team up since they refused to be beaten by me while I was focusing on my daughter instead of the game.
The highlight of the game was when I looked at my daughter, and in a baby voice told her, - "Look, daddy got a doublekill!!!"
Needless to say my friends wanted to kill my...in real life that is!!!
Ha ha, priceless!!!
And of course...I won!
This of course means nothing to you guys who plays daily as usual, but for me, damn it was good playing again!!! He he!!!

Just venting a lil love...

At the moment 3 days a week I'm home from work taking care of our 1.2 year old daughter.
Those of you with kids knows how it is.
It's lovely.
It's hard work.
...and it's lovely.
Today due to work I couldn't make it so grandma stepped in to babysit.
And instantly I miss her!
Here's the thing, I got this little jewel late in life (I did plan to have kids earlier but circumstances as, lets say a woman to have them with, interfered.)
Now I'm sitting at work thinking...about...my daughter! I see my daughter every damn day and she could be a handful and there are times when I go, - "Somebody please shoot me!" but still, she's all I think of, all the time!!!
It's funny how one person can change you completely!
How things could go from "We've been invited to this and that and we must organize so we can go to BOTH this and that" to "You have your party but the little one just poo'd on my 360 so I'm not going and don't care either", and I dont!
And friends...friends don't exactly call me like they used to and It's all good...if they do call me, I usually come up with a lame excuse to stay home anyways...strange!!!
Don't get me wrong, friends are important...it's just they aren't as important as they used to be.
We've all been thinking 'bout what we wanna do with our lifes from time to time, so have I, but right now..I just want to hang with my daughter, I really do, there's nothing better!!!
Need to play a few games with the clan also of course but besides that...
I don't really have a point but the cool thing with a blog is...I don't have to have a point!
I'm not going to be sentimental here...whoops, guess I am already...but...I feel blessed!!! Good times! I guess that's all I wanted to say!!!

A bad start!!!

Friday morning.
In my car, driving.
With my daughter in the backseat.
She's not a happy camper.
Crying.
Screaming.
Sun is shining in her eyes.
I turn the rearview mirror so I can see her better.
I make baby sounds.
Funny sounds.
Funny faces.
I make...
...suddenly I hear a police siren.
No more funny sounds.
No more funny faces.
I turn the rearview mirror back so I can see the police better.
Being pulled over.
- "This your car?"
- "Yup!"
- "Driver license please?"
- "Do you know how fast you where driving?"
Not a clue.
How fast was I driving?
I get a 400 dollar fine...
...but I get to keep my license he says.
...must've been pretty fast I think to myself.
I get to blow.
No alcohol.
He says he'll come back with papers for me to sign.
He walks back to the police car.
My daughter is still not a happy camper.
Back to baby sounds.
Funny sounds.
Funny faces.
...I suddenly remember my car hasn't been inspected and declared fit for the road this year.
Which is another 200 bucks.
Damnit.
No more funny sounds.
No more funny faces.
He comes back towards my car.
He knows.
- "This really your car you said?"
I suddenly remember we registered the car on my girlfriend for tax reasons.
Damnit.
I explain.
He believes me.
He smiles.
He nods.
- "Is she also in charge of getting the car inspected and declared fit for use?"
Somebody please shoot me.
Damnit.
- "Is this an appropriate time to tell you I'm actually on my way right now to do that??!!", I lie.
He doesn't believe me.
He doesn't smile.
He doesn't nod.
My daughter's still screaming.
Loudly.
Time passes.
He's staring me down.
- "You go about your business and you have a nice day sir."
*Deep sigh*
Off the hook.
