Catch up

    So wow like 3-4 months go by in the blink of an eye.  Funny how that happens isnt it?  Time seems to speed up the older and busier we get, and I here it really speeds up once you have kids.  I guess I'll find out in 3-4 weeks since my rapidly expanding wife is soon to give birth and let me tell you she is ready.  The kid is sitting right on her sciatic nerve and every few steps she lets out a little "yip" as the nerve gets decompressed/compressed.  I feel bad for her, but there's not alot I can do to help besides bring her a neverending supply of graeters ice cream.  We have been through the course the hospital offers to explain all the possible procedures and get a tour of the place.  The one thing that course did do was completely reinforce the concept of the epidural.  Hell give her one in the parking lot.  They showed video of several women going through "natural" childbirth, ie what appears to be excruciating pain, let me rip your face of so you can appreciate it honey, childbirth.  yikes. 
    Anyway, I joined 2old2pwn and have had an excellent time meeting and playing with it's members.  I'm even getting marginally better at Halo 2 but not much.  I still die at a solid clip let me tell you but at least now  I manage to take a few with me.  Matchmaking is even more fun now that I can pwn a few timmies.  please dont let my child grow up to be like some of the little bastards on XBL.

break in the new guy

Played in my first Halo 2 session last night with gamers like flapjaxx, agedsandshark , and  jonny12gauge.   sooooo much better and more enjoyable.  even though I suck out loud no seemed to mind.  We played a custom game of football which had me confused at first but I figured out the rules by the end.  I even had the bomb at one point in the enemy base but didnt know how to arm and detonate the damn thing before I was put to bed.  Watched the UK wildcats play after halo 2  and was pleased they beat LSU.   I cheer for my big rival when they arent playing my team and I think alot of people are that way.  Some people hear that and are aghast, like I just said I'm a big fan of hitler or something.  I'm just not that competitive of a person I guess.   make your day a good one.

  Aha so this is whats a personal blog looks like.  My first one.  Hopefully I'll fill it with things people actually find interesting.  I am a 34 yo pediatric dentist living in Louisville, Ky who still enjoys gaming although I had been out of things for a while until I signed up with XBOX live.  Now I find myself hooting and hollering at the tv while some 12 yr old kicks my ass at Halo 2.  Humbling to say the least.  Which is where this site comes in.  Hopefully I'll find likeminded people here dealing with the same crap who like to burn off stress by sticking plasma grenades to opponents foreheads.  I also have a baby on the way (my first, a boy!) who is due in mid june.  I'll probably get to play more at that point since I wont be allowed to leave the house except for work for at least six months.  oh well.  I'll buy one of those automatic rockers and stick the little man in the game room with me.  later
