Now I'm sure a lot of you will say, "That's fox news, not real news". To that I say bullshit. Cnn and every other network news station is skewed just as much to the left as fox is to the right. Also if you read the article in depth, you will see that they report objectively on the subject noting that the Obama campaign denies they were throwing them away. Personally I know that they were throwing them away, as it's standard practice at these events.

 We were warming up for practice the other day and i got a little nutty with the sniper, there is a decent snipe in the begining but it doesnt get real good till the 3:47 mark . Enjoy!!!!!!!

Cause if you are in Ottawa, or close by, there is going to be a fun little fundraiser for the Kidney Foundation on September 13th.  It's at Liam Maguire's Pub: 1705 St. Laurent (St. Laurent and Innes).   I will be there, there will be live music, lots of giveaways all for a great cause. And there will be drinking. It's all in memory of my buddy Dave. Dave died from complications of kidney failure 5 years ago, and his Mom has been having this fundraiser every year. Danny, the guy who owned the bar that we all used to frequent, donates the place, the music and also the food. There is a all you can eat buffet: Danny donates the whole thing so that every penny we collect goes to the Kidney Foundation. I love Danny. I do. For him to do this year after year is so amazing. Danny is one of those guys who own pubs to make money BUT to also be part of a community I believe.

So ya: if you are in town, stop on by: I will buy you drinks!

I have had an amazing day. Got a pedi and a haircut. Went shopping. Got a new headset, mine broke. Ordered Tales of Vesperia on line. So ya: the JayCat is a happy lady.

There you will see selden at his best pwning and taking pictures. So while I was helping my wife and dealing with all the sour pinata's not watching over him. He builds a merit for the 2o2p here. My wife's garden got pwnd. Now back to before this and what fun we had.

Last night we finally got four of us on it was Selden's garden, Me, Some other 2o2pwn guy and Automan21K. Then H2daddy joined later to take the other 2o2pwn spot. I know I told them I think we should do this more often and just go to each other's gardens and just help in any way they see fit. Last night I found out the skills everyone had and trust me everyone has them.

So if your looking for romancing pinata's hit up Automan21k to your garden. If your looking to have some casual fun hit up H2Daddy. Selden is good to hit up cause he will grow just about anything you need and it is like he has his own green thumb. My self I guess you could say i am more fascinated with how to tame the sours then anything else. We all do more than what I put here, but it was a really nice how it worked out.

After having that much fun I think we should all visit at least each others gardens to help and see what everyone is doing. I know there are things I am doing that some of you all aren't and things that other people have. So share and let me know what you thought about playing with other members of 2old2play so far. I have enjoyed it each time so far. You know my wife's(one n only mee) or my garden is always open.

It seems that Hannah isn't going to be that bad.  I am up early this morning cuz it's hard to sleep when the rain is pounding overhead.  The wind seems to be dying down a bit.  That's a good thing.  But, flood warnings are in effect for just about everywhere.  I live on a hill, so I have never seen any flooding.  But, there is water over the roads in places and is supposed to get worse with some flash floods.  In the eastern part of NC there is power loss and such, but they are already getting that back online, so to speak.  I have the TV going so I can track progress.  It's still 3 more hours until the center of the storm is "parallel" with Raleigh.  And, by late afternoon it will be gone.  Strange, how a hurricane/tropical storm is contained, sorta.  When it's gone, it's gone, a bit like a tornado, but much bigger.  The sun comes out and it's like it never happened, except for all the damage they leave behind.

I think I will hang at home today.  I don't want to deal with the weather.  No gym.  Ack!  Yet another excuse not to work out!  Blah.  Slacker.....  I do need to start tracking the next storm, tho.  The cruise I really don't want to go on is next week.  Why don't I want to go?  Ahh, part of it is the bandaid, but only a small part.  I didn't plan it.  WTF?  A cruise in hurricane alley right in the middle of the season?  Well, my brothers will be there, so, I'll go.  That is, if the next hurricane doesn't cancel it.  But, I anticipate that the ship may be rockin' and rollin'.  Hope not.

A guy I work with was slotted into an interim director position while the actual director is overseeing part of acquisition we are going though.  His attitude immediately changed when he moved in to the office.  He went from happy-go-lucky, clueless guy to slacks and serious-face clueless guy.  Most of us are wondering how he got slotted in to this position since the last three projects he has managed have been botched to hell. 

That's neither here nor there.  He has been in this position for a grand total of 5 business days.  I would like to present to you actual phrases I have heard him use in the past 5 business days that have never escaped his mouth in the past.  Unfortunately, I am not paraphrasing, these are actual phrases.

1. "Hey there [name removed], step in to my office and let's have a pow-wow." -- Now this phrase in and of itself is fairly innocuous, but he made the person wait nearly 10 minutes.  I am almost sure he was on a fake phone call because he read somewhere in a management 101 book it was good to make people wait.

2. "What are the roadblocks we need to hurdle to accomplish the task at hand?" -- Again, a fairly typical management question, BUT the kicker here is the last project he managed before sliding into this interim position is everyone's roadblock at this point.  It was so poorly managed, scheduled, and executed that it has become the butt of all the jokes.

3. "We need to establish a more synergistic relationship between [group name removed] and [group name removed].  The conflict and negativity is having a negative impact on release scheduling." -- The day he found out about the position he must have poured through the 7 Habits books looking for excellent management tips.  Imagine negativity having a negative impact...

4. Let me set this one up a little bit.  We had a problem with a piece of software we use and it was impacting one of the groups because of the amount of extra work it was creating.  We logged a bug with the vendor and the vendor went in to damage control.  Emails started to fly around and Mr. Interim Director decided it would be a good idea to get everyone in a room and have a call with the vendor.  "So everyone understands the issue, let's go over what the problem is again."  -- Here is the thing, everyone already knows what the problem is, but this ignoramous, either doesn't read or understand his email.  "What kind of proposed solution are we looking at and in what timeframe?" -- At this point, my boss was ready to kill him.  All of this stuff was already detailed in the email and here we are wasting our time and the vendor's time.  At this point, I started quoting directly from the emails.  He started asking about implementation, rollout schedules, impacts on production, etc.  I continued to quote directly from the email chain.  I could tell he was getting pissed at me and he quickly ended the call at that point.

I am probably going to get some backlash on Monday, but I am not worried.  This guy is a moron and putting him in this position only further highlights his total ineptitude.
