Hot Cocoa Kisses

A woman at the office who always has candy during the holidays gave me some Hershey's Hot Cocoa Kisses and I ate it and thought hey they are not spicy at all then I realized "ohhh Hot Cocoa". They are pretty damn tasty, very creamy and rich.

It's a Boy

My wife is 5 months pregnant and we had a sonogram today to see how the baby is devoloping and to find out the sex of the baby and its a boy and seems to be doing fine. We are totaly excited to finally know what it is and can now get started decorating and buying baby clothes. I was at Target and had to pick up this Marvel shirt and Spider-Man hoodie. I can't wait till he is born so he can wear these.

Art Sign Project

Interesting art project in Chicago called Art Sign Project to help raise art awareness and apparently there are over 1000 pieces and they all must have the word "Art" in them somewhere, more info at www.myspace.com/artsignproject I like this project because on Sept 23rd 5:00 you are incouraged to take a piece home and I have seen a few that I would love to have. Beware of my attack dog!!!

Urgggg!!! It is such a beautiful night in Chicago that I decided to take my dog for a nice long walk. We are walking towards an intersection and as we almost get there a kid comes running from out of nowhere around the corner and my dog playfully barked once at him and he continues running towards a parked car 20 feet away. We wait to cross the interection and all of a sudden I get tapped on theshoulder and a woman starts yelling at me. She yells "you need to control your dog, he is dangerous and scared my son, your responsible for your dog, what kind of owner are you?" That is when I get pissed because I love my dog like he is my own kid and I calmly respond "I'm sorry if my dog scared your son but your son ran around the corner infront of my dog and he got excited and wanted to play, my dog was 2 feet infront of me and I was in total control of him." And when I said "What kind of parent are you? Your 20 feet away at your car and your kid is running around." That is when she lost it and started yelling at me in polish and continues to yell at me as she walks to her car.

This other woman who saw everything that happened comes up to me and said that nothing was my fault and she saw the other womans kid running around alone. "Maybe she isn't a dog person" she says as the mother continues yelling at me. So if you see me and my 20 pound "killer" puggle walking down the street stay away because he may want to play with you and lick you to death.

Digg Meetup Chicago

So Kevin Rose and Jay Adelson and others from Digg came to Chicago for a meetup and it was alot of fun. So when we got in we saw Kevin just standing around with drink in hand so we walked up to him talked for a bit and took some pictures. I thought that would be the end of my time with Kevin but he was everywhere talking with fans and taking pictures and it seemed like I was bumping in to him every few minutes and the same thing happened with Jay Adelson the CEO of Digg. They are planning a Diggnation for Chicago but they need to find the right space, one that holds like 1000 fans.

Costco FTW!!!

I just got back from Costco where I returned my Xbox 360 and got a new one. But I'm still at work so I didn't get a chance to check if it has the hdmi. I know it was only 1 day without the 360 but I like having my options when planning my evening. So I am a happy camper now.

Earth Hour 2008

Hey, I just signed up to the new Earth Hour website for 2008 and I thought some people of the 2o2p community might want to possibly sign up too. Earth Hour is on 29 March 2008 at 8pm, and it looks like it's going to be really big. So far, as well as Sydney, there'll also be Adelaide, Atlanta, Bangkok, Brisbane, Canberra, Chicago, Christchurch, Copenhagen, Dublin, Manila, Melbourne, Montreal, Odense, Ottawa, Perth, Phoenix, San Francisco, Suva, Tel Aviv, Toronto and Vancouver all turning off their lights for an hour in the name of fighting global warming. I just hijacked somebody's Hi5 account.

For the last few days I noticed I was getting a ton of emails about friends requests and messages from hi5.com. If you don't know hi5.com is s a massive myspace-style social network. But I never signed up for hi5 and was sick of all the messages so I decided to investigate. I went to the site and saw that you can reset the password using just your email address and that is just what I did. So I put my email address and they sent me a link to reset the password. I find out that this 16 year old chick from the Dominican Republic was using my email address for her account.

I was checking out the profile and it doesn't seem legit to me but then again I'm not a 16 year old girl either. So should I feel bad about "stealing" an account? Or should she feel bad about using my email address for her account. Anyway if I get a message about this I may just give back the account with a different email address.

I don't mind the snow much

What I really hate it freezing rain, I hate scrapping a 1/2" of ice off my car. But that is the least of my worries because my aunt that lives in Gurnee IL got about 14 inches of snow. At least she has teenage kids that can shovel all that snow. What I really feel sorry for is all those tornados destroying everything in their path.

Lotta Snow

So here in Chicago we are getting a ton of snow right now and rather than try to clean off my car and try to plow through the snow and drive on the crappy roads, I decided to walk to work. I have a 5 minute commute when I drive but can walk it in like 15-20 minutes. Its weird that some people think I'm crazy cause I walk and others say it makes sense. My major issue is parking, I have zone parking because I live next to a busy train station and when I walked out to my car I saw that no one else moved there car. With no parking on major city streets because of snow routes, parking is a premium here in Chicago so I decided to leave the car home and walk it.

Damn its cold!

At around 7 am I take my dog on his morning walk and check the weather to find out its 2 degrees outside with a windchill of -9 degrees. We only get half way down the block and my dog turns around looks at me and starts picking up each paw indicating that he is really cold. I pick him up and carry him back home this is where I"m glad I have a puggle that only weighs about 20 pounds. Guess all I I'm getting at is it's cold.
