1 week with Wii Fit

After using the Wii Fit for 1 week on a daily basis, let me just tell you...

It works, it's a blast, and I am *really* sore.

My whole family has had fun playing with wii fit, but my wife and I have worked it into our lives to help us stay get back in shape. She runs and this is a great fill-in for her. I lift weights and play racquetball (I should probably re-phrase to say I have lots of fun attempting to play racquetball) and again, the wii fit is a great fill-in on the days I can't make it to the gym or if I want to do something different. I figured out long ago that it's hard for me to exercise unless I can keep my mind occupied, and this has definitely met that need. I am excited to see what lies ahead for the platform and for the balance board.

I absolutely love ryhtym boxing- so much so, I am considering joining this type of class.

Any of you out there playing wii fit, and if so, what are your thoughts and what are your favorite activities?

Bear Birthday!

35 years young. Yikes!

It's a nostalgic day as I am finally getting a wii. Had the original NES with Robbie the Robot and the whole nine. What's funny is I don't really remember how I found out about it then. I mean Atari was dead and everyone seemed to think PCs were the only future for games. Had a C64 but man was I stoked for the NES. Those games were great!

Anyway, can't believe I am 35 today but I really look forward to opening it with the all 3 kids and seeing them share the excitement. I look forward to creating our miis and starting some epic battles for many years to come!

Anyone selling a gas guzzler?

All this with the gas and no end in sight.  It just made me wonder how many people are actually selling their own cars/trucks/SUVs for smaller cars that get better mileage.  Do any of you plan on selling your own and if so, what are you going to buy to replace?  I just saw the Dodge ad where they basically offer that you will never pay over $2.99 per gallon for like the first 12,000 miles of the first 3 years and I wondered if we will start to see similar offers from other manufacturers...

Everyone sing together now!  Just wanted to post this as I am pumped after reading reviews from those who grew up watching the show and also because I scored tickets at the IMAX - woot!  Hey, I just noticed that this specific emoticon looks a lot like Speed's face in the cartoon!!
